I bought the autoject 2, mainly because I have a essential tremor which makes injecting difficult, but I have yet to use it. I was testing it out with some spare syringes, but after a couple tries it actually ripped the back part of the syringe off (the finger guard) and shot the needle out much further than it was set for because there was nothing holding on to it. This is kind of concerning to me. I have the Sure Comfort Insulin Only syringes.
I want to try it, though. Last time I injected my hands shook while the needle was in and it left me bleeding a little and with a red spot where I injected (it's been there several days). Has anyone had this?

Hi,
I am making an educated guess, but I'm thinking that the Autoject was not adjusted properly. I'm not sure about the Sure Comfort syringes, but I use BD insulin syringes with no issue. The instructions list B.Braun, BD and Precision Sure-Dose as compatible syringes, .5ml and 1ml capacities. It might be worth it to purchase a box of BD syringes ($25-$30 for 90 of them at a variety of internet sites.) The finger-guard of the Sure Comfort may be designed differently so as to cause difficulty.
I would think that the Autoject would help with your tremor. You might also try a couple times not on yourself with water so as to not waste your meds - perhaps in a banana or cucumber (not trying to make a joke here, just trying to simulate the rounded surface of your penis).
Here's a link to a youtube video on how to adjust/calibrate the Autoject:
https://youtu.be/cnAMS5kIVso
You can get a red spot where you inject - it could mean that you may not have pierced the Tunica, the tough membrane surrounding the Corpora Cavernosa (the "target" area.) Learning to get through the Tunica with the Autoject takes some practice. The Tunica is so tough, a needle can "roll" off it (think of trying to pierce a basketball with a steak knife - if you aren't perpendicular to the surface, the knife will roll off and only partly pierce the ball.) That can cause a bleed underneath the outer skin (thus the red spot.) Your red spot WILL heal - just give it a little time. I personally was successful only 1 out of my first 4 times with the Autoject (rolled off the Tunica the other 3).
Keep trying, though! I think most men here will say you WILL get the hang of it. Your tremor may make it a bit more challenging, but I believe it's worth it to try again.
Good luck!
Ron
Re: Autoject El is Incredible!!!
I bought an autoject and practiced with it but never actually used it. It bothered me not being able to see exactly where the needle would enter my skin. However, in your case I would probably go with it. As for your question about breakage, I too experienced that with the same brand you are using but only after several trials with the same syringe. I also was experimenting with soft objects that would NOT provide similar resistance to a penis. That causes the syringe to be subjected to more abrupt shock. The short version is I don't think breakage would be an issue with normal use.
R.R.P 2011 Mayo Jacksonville, Dr. M. Wehle. Not nerve sparing. C in margins. Radiation 2023, V.E.D, Viagra and PGE-1 (80mcg/ml) injections @ 8 - 14 units. Originally Edex20, then compounded PGE due to cost. Inject. 12 yrs. It works. Treasure coast of FL.

Thanks. I have the Autoject 2 which looks very similar to the one in the video. I adjust the adapter to allow just the needle (full needle) sticking out when pressed. I haven't tried it on myself yet. I'm not normally afraid of needles when someone else is sticking me, but for some reason I really have to work myself up to shoot a needle in my dick.

Yes, the breakage I've seen is after several uses injecting water into the air. It seems to be pretty consistent, though, after two or three trials shooting into the air the syringe breaks. Seems a little concerning to me. When the finger guard breaks the shaft of the syringe shoots out of the device.
I also have the inject-ease that they sold me, but that doesn't inject the mix, it only injects the needle.

That's what I use. Very easy...all you do is press the plunger on syringe. No big deal with that. You can also adjust depth with adaptors (I use FULL needle depth with no adaptor) and adjust for 100, 50 and 30 UNIT syringes as well. I use a 30 Unit syringe with special adaptor. Works great....ZERO problems.

Yeah, I have one of those, but if I'm using an auto-injector I'd rather it inject the trimix as well as the needle.
This is the other one I have.
Has anyone used this one?

Re: Autoject El is Incredible!!!
I use the Autoject EL which is like the 2 pictured but has the indicator rod to show the medicine being injected. I use a BD 28ga 1/2" syringe and have it adjusted for a 5/16" needle depth. Have never had a problem with it.
80, started ED issues in late 50's. Used Viagra, Cialis with some success but unreliable, expensive and side effects not acceptable. Started using Trimix 11/2016 and quit being effective. Implanted on May 22, 2014 by Dr Dean Knoll. AMS 700.
Re: Autoject El is Incredible!!!
So, I just used the Autoject 2 today. It was fairly easy and painless, it left a little blood and a little red mark on my penis. BUT, the injection has had very little effect. Only a little bit of swelling on the side I injected on that went away after about 10 minutes. I can work up an erection, but lose it quickly as I normally do.
What the hell? This was the same amount I used in this thread: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=8244
I really don't get why I have such a variable reaction to the injections. Maybe it missed? but it seems to "miss" more often than not. I'll try injecting on the left side next time. It shouldn't matter, but for some reason I seem to have more luck on that side, only problem is that I have to be a little more careful avoiding the veins. Maybe I need a longer needle?

Re: Autoject El is Incredible!!!
My opinion is that you missed - you shouldn't get any blood in my experience. Another thing you can look at is the speed at which the plunger goes down (if you have the EI with the visual indicator). If it is very slow (more than 2 seconds), then you missed.
This is a little bit of a challenge with the Autoject - it's easy to point the injector at an angle rather than perpendicular to the Tunica. Are you at the 9 o'clock or 11 o'clock position?

Re: Autoject El is Incredible!!!
I agree with the member above. Once you pressed the button you have to hold the Autoject steady for up 5 seconds while the instrument is injecting the medicine.
