I think it was 4 or 5 times after catheter removal. I forgot all about that. Yeah, that was a little uncomfortable.

Well the stinging has stopped. The pain is manageable. All I'm taking is Advil and antibiotics. Icing occasionally. Next step is a shower which will be tomorrow before I go to the doctor. I'll be able to see my sack after I remove the gauze.

Just wondering if you put new gauze on after your first shower or should I leave uncovered until I see the doctor.

Sounds like you are doing great. But don't let that get you moving around. Keep laying down and icing.

New question, How long after you get home from hospital where you allowed to remove bandages and shower. Did you antiseptic soap or just regular bar soap. Have a call into doctor to clarify.

I used the antiseptic soap for a week after surgery. Never hurts

I stayed at the hospital about 11 hours. They removed the cath and bandages before I left. Doc said I could shower in 24 hours and could let the soap and water run over the stitches but not to physically wash the wound.

3 day post op, pain has subsided on only advil and still taking antibiotics. Tried to sleep in bed last night pretty tuff to get comfortable so I slept on the recliner. Doctor appointment this morning to get the bandages removed and first look see. Sponge bath and have to wash hair in sink. Other than that just keep icing and taking meds.

Saw the doctor this morning. Removed all gauze, Sac is very swollen and bruised which is what I expected from what I have read here. Penis no swelling or bruises. Doctor gave the ok to shower. He grab the pump and pulled on boy did that hurt, I had to stop him or he would of kept pulling on it. All in all the visit went well. Keep icing and take meds. Next appointment is in 2 weeks.

Today was my 4th after implant. Very little pain just using Advil. Driving is comfortable, all is good. I'm happy I decided to go thru this, can't wait until I can begin to use my new found friend.
