Another AMS 700 LGX FAILURE

Postby backup2014 » Mon Jul 17, 2017 5:48 pm

I was implanted Dec 2014 with a AMS 700 LGX. I had a bad inflammation for the first 90 days after my implant. This left me extremely sore and unable to pump it up very much. But after the inflammation subsided it was fine. Until two weeks ago when I tried to pump up, the pump just collapsed and wouldn't inflate. The doc told me today it was empty so we are going to schedule a new implant. I really dread this redo, but what else can you do? He said AMS would cover the cost of the implant, hopefully Medicare will pick up the rest of the tab as well as my supplement insurance. I assume that will take a few weeks to find this out. I will keep everyone posted. He is a good doctor with over 5000 implants under his belt. He was very apologetic about the whole thing. So here we go again!! I am backdown2017 today. LOL

Sounds kinda like dja vu all over again. Implanted with AMS 700 LGX in November 2012. No trouble, great service but then one day about 2/3 the pumps and flat pump still was usable then over the course of about a week down to nothing. Checked it out it was leaked down.

Now insurance to check out. Tentative schedule for August, insurance permitting. Looking through some statistics, it doesn't seem like there is much difference between the brands as far as this type of failure.

You think we wore them out?

No I didn't wear it out, I think the leak came from the reservoir. I did keep it 75% pumped up most of the time. I lost a lot of length and girth through years of ED,RPS and IMPLANT. I hope I don't lose anymore while waiting for this redo. If I lose much more I will be a queen instead of a king. LOL

Backup,

Like the Backdown reference  .

This is scary to me. I lost a lot at birth in the "How big is you dick gonna be lottery".
Lost more to ED, even more to the RP. Any more, and Kramer's going to have to give me a bionic vagina instead.

Nervous about any further loss.... :o

AMS should be responsible for more than just their product. If it wasn't for their defective device, you would not have To go through the trauma and expense again.
Just my 2 cents worth

I agree, I would like to get paid for the pain and suffering. But that's not going to happen. RR don't be scared, if it wasn't worth the pain I would just have him take it out and go with the floppy disk. I miss my little chubby!!

My CX model lasted 12 years. I've had an LGX for 3 years now and am assuming I will have just as long a time with this one as with the first one.

Failure here after 4.5 years. Insurance failure too; in that time frame my insurance changed to not cover the implant and also to not cover any necessary repair work even if the manufacturer covers the cost of the product and some of the hospital. AMS 700 LGX failed after 4.5 ready for replacement when can work out the financing. Sure hope it doesn't take too long
