I Wanna Deflate AMS... how to

Postby DaveKell » Sun Jul 30, 2017 10:43 am

Okay, here's the deal. I've commented on the feeling of what I call a broomstick between my legs. Imagine passing a broomstick between your legs and grasping it front and back and pulling up against your crotch. I've got almost 2 weeks of this feeling all the time. In addition, the head of my three quarters inflated dick is getting irritated from rubbing against underwear. Also, I'm having to walk with a forward stoop to hide the erection. I'm not complaining - I'd do this all again for the upcoming benefits.

I've experimented around a few times with trying to deflate a little to get a days relief. I can easily find the button because the pump hangs at the very bottom of my sack. I press it with all I've got and hold for several seconds but nothing happens. I would add that the bulb is rock hard right now. Given these things, can anybody offer any advice on how to deflate an AMS 700CX? I'm wondering if I need to squeeze the bulb first to "break it loose" for pumping and then try the deflate button?

This is by now means a crisis, just a need for a little mental relief if nothing else. I'll pump it back up after a few hours and I promise not to tell my doctor who offered the advice! THANKS!!

Dave,
We used the same doctor. Dr. Morey did my implant in Dec of 2016, so I'm a few months ahead of you. When you say you push or squeeze the release button, you need to realize how much pressure it requires. Put one or two fingers on the back of the pump so you can really press down hard on the release button. When I had problems, it was because I just wasn't pressing hard enough. Good luck with your new body parts. And don't be afraid to explore things. You're doing great. Just keep after it.

I can't add any more than what jawalt said except when I had that difficulty, the pa showed me I was pressing too low on the release button. I needed to get above it and push down. Broomstick between your legs? Is your erection pointing down? I was instructed to keep it up until my deflation date. Still wasn't comfortable, had to keep it wrapped to avoid irritation, but down would've been unbearable imho.

One of the important things is to understand that the pump bulb and the deflate button are different things. Having had your model of implant, I wonder when you say, "the bulb is rock hard right now," as I would say that about my pump bulb (when it was new) but not about the deflate button. Do you have someone related to your doctor's office who can show you what's going on (or not going on) and make suggestions on the doctor's behalf? (I know that many urologists have someone who does that kind of thing to help men out.)

I had the EXACT same problem you had back in January. You have to use two fingers to deflate. First thing you must do is trace behind the pump with your index finger to the back of the deflation block on the direct opposite side of the deflation button. You'll feel circular ridges. Keep your index finger there. Then, take your thumb and trace up the front of the bulb to the deflation button...this can sometimes be tricky as the deflation block/bulb moves around. Make sure your thumb completely covers the deflation button. At that point, press both fingers together/toward each other and you'll feel/hear a buzzing sound. Keep pressing until you hear the buzz stop, then you can wring out the excess fluid from your penis. You might try practicing on the keychain rubber mock-up of the pump which I'm sure you received. I had to have the local AMS rep come out and show me how to do it. You also might try it in the bathtub/warm bath setting, as everything becomes easier to find down there when your scrotum becomes loose when submerged in warm water. Remember: you have to use two fingers to deflate properly. You can't just feel for the deflate button with one finger and press it. DM me if you have any further questions, or reach out to either the doctor or AMS rep & they'll help you out.

I guess that I was pretty lucky that Dr. gave me a actual size pump "Key Fob" and that is what I used to figure out how to inflate and deflate. I would get the solid rubber pump and sit on the edge of a chair with the real pump in one hand and the model pump in the other hand. Then I could visualize what I was feeling through my scrotum, it really helped, at first there was so much swelling that it was hard to find the deflate button but could find the square shape at the top of the pump pretty easily. I think that the Dr should give one of these to all that receive implants if it is not offered you should really ask for it.

Dave
My two cents about the deflate button. You must press on it at the right angle. Has to be straight on. So when you push it make sure your not pressing from the side just a little or even from the top. Use the blocks on the side of the pump as a guide. I had difficulty at first. Takes practice but it also could be stuck. Inflated to 75%. Ouch ! Mine was at 20-30% and it was a great relieve when dr deflated it !
