I understand that a surgeon will choose whether or not to use Rear Tip Extenders (and how many) once he or she sees what's going on with the internal geometry of the family jewels. What I'd like to know is how would the doctor complete this statement:
"Bob, you have an LGX 21 cm, with 0.5 RTE, totaling 21.5 cm as vs an LGX 18 cm with 3.5cm of RTEs.
Typically, the 21 + 0.5 arrangement will be more ( or less ) _______________________ than the 18 + 0.5 arrangement when erect. The differences when flaccid would typically be _____________________. "
I'm trying to visualize the mechanics/hydraulics of the differences, but I'm hoping someone who knows the answer can help me.
Thanks.

Re: Questions on RTE's
Thanks Joe.
I know the decision is based upon locating the pump and/ or tubes exiting the corpora. But I still wonder how to fill in the blanks in my post.

There are a few guys on here that can answer this better than I. And if I ask my doctor that question he said there's lots of ways to determine how many RTE's. He doesn't like to use more than 2 centimeter. But that there is a reason for more. It is almost like the doctor has to determine that once you are under. I thought I did my home work and figured I would get a 20cm with maybe 1cm rte. I woke up with a 22 with 1cm rte. I will tell you my doctor asked me before he put me the OR if I want him to give me an extra 1/2 after he determine the size. It would take more cycling. I opted to leave it up to him.

Re: Questions on RTE's
For what little it may be worth, I have 2cm RTEs, and unless Dr. Caesar had told me I would have no clue they are there. The whole apparatus works just fine.

Re: Questions on RTE's
My Urologist used 5.5 in RTES with my 18 cm implant. Giving my implant a total of 23.5 cm length. My RTES kept most of my inflatable outside my body, giving me a 6" flacid and a 7" erection. They also kept my pump lower. I have had absolutely no problems so far. I am 10 months post opp. And I love my dick!!!!!

Dr. Kramer told me that in my case he could've used a 24cm AMS 700LGX which he keeps on hand as a special order. He decided for a variety of reasons to use a 21cm LGX w/ 3cm RTEs. The main reason was pump placement...said using a 24 cm LGX w/ no RTEs would've required more splicing to get proper pump placement-otherwise, the pump would've been too high. I'm very happy w/ my LGX as well as the pump placement...couldn't be better...
