2 Hours and Counting

Postby radiodec » Fri Aug 18, 2017 11:52 am

Have to be at outpatient surgery at 1:00 and surgery at 2:30. Here we go. I will try to add some starting pictures; flaccid, failed LGX 700. For the new to implants this is about what you will look like flaccid. Not too showy but not hidden either

D+ 4.5 hours. Had dinner Mexican, but not too spicy, good. Could have eaten a horse after nothing since 10:00pm yesterday. No real pain just discomfort, catheter is a nag. Coughing is a pain though. Will soon have pictures of after from as soon after surgery as I could wake up to get them. Will post when I get connection to cell phone for transferring pictures. not on my big laptop, using wife's tablet toy.

Got my cable! Now have just after surgery afters. One is with support covering things, the other I temporarily moved support. Little pain, little swelling. Now for the pictures.

The pictures don't show it, there is a vacuum drain attached to the upper incision (red line in photo). With these photos and my little narrative, revisions shouldn't be too scary

Oops guys, missed an incision. Wondered why coughing hurt where it did. Here is what was hiding in the folds of an old fat belly.

Congrats & welcome to the brotherhood. Advice for your discharge. Stay off your feet. You may have no swelling now but it most likely will follow. Ice or frozen peas/corn help tremendously. You need a good week before you resume any normal activity. The catheter is a pain but once removed that will be a relieve. So rest up & dont rush your recovery. Best to you !

Bandit is right on the money! I took it very easy and spent a lot of time just laying down. If I had it to do over again, I would have done even more laying down. I started going in to my office for a few hours a day on day 8, and I should have waited until now probably (day 17).

This is my second go at things so I am going to take it slower this time. Don't have the device size other than it is an AMS CX that is 2cm longer than the original AMS LGX. "more package" to show.
\My urologist didn't find any problem in the cylinders he removed, but the reservoir was dry. He suspects a failure in the tubing. Activation and begin cycling in 2 weeks. Old reservoir left, new one put in on other side.

Best wishes. I will be about a month from now.
I am 64 and had ED from a VL. Implanted by Dr. Ronald Anglade in Atlanta on 9/18/17. I have an AMS700LGX 21 cm via a Penoscrotal incision. Very happy with results. 6" soft and 6 3/4” x 5 5/8” hard.

Gregg, hang in there the time will pass.

Now here is for everyone following this revision. Here are a couple of angles on what everything looks like after about 64 hours. There is a drain showing in there. That is complements of having to do an alternate alternate placement of the reservoir.

Pain level other than when coughing, very low to non-existent. The swelling that was more than the first time is going down now. A few hours after the pictures my urologist pulled the drain.

This is looking from the front. Some nice bruising but no problems

Looking from the side to allow visualizing swelling.

Recover is being phenomenal let's hope it keeps up.
