WOW. I can't explain the change in mental outlook. Disappointment at loss of function and the anxiety of whether I should get the implant have completely changed to excitement.

Last night started 10mg of oxycodone every 2 hours, then switched to 4 hours. Helped me get ahead of the pain. Finally took an ambien and got some decent sleep. Removed the catheter about an hour ago. Absolutely no fuss.

Have not removed the dressing yet, waiting till after lunch. It is point straight up, but not sure of size. Kramer put in 21cm AMS LGX 700 with two RTE's. Anyone know the size of the RTE's, trying to approximate length.

Around 10 pm last night, started getting hard (or maybe just swelled up) but it went down. This would seem to confirm the lack of dilation, which is what I wanted. Kramer has been awesome.

Seriously excited. Feel like the 11 year old kid masturbating for the first time.

Congratulations! I am jealous as hell. I still have a few weeks to go before my surgery. All the best to you.

I still have a way to go, but all signs are positive. I have a couple of points in my favor:
1. I know some get put off what sound like advertising, but Kramer is just incredible. Came to see me before my surgery, asked if it would be helpful if he got my prescriptions for me (I have never had that happen). His staff and the staff at UMMC were beyond first rate. As a matter of fact, felt like I was in a private surgery center. As luck would have it, I was the only guy until I checked out. Got the names of all the nurses and techs, they are all getting a personal note. I have had 8 orthopedic surgeries and this was one of my best experiences.

2. My partner is treating my like a king, I am off my feet until Sunday, and i think that will really help.

3. Surgery went super smooth, as a matter of fact, Kramer cleared me for light workouts in the gym in a week and a half. I just got an opportunity to interview an act in Nashville on Monday, and he cleared me.

4. I am at 20% inflation, so from a pain and logistics standpoint, I am doing well. Doubling up on the pain med the day of, then tapering, really got me ahead of the pain. This is just something I always do because I don't response to pain meds as well. Also, got on the ice and Ibuprofen shortly after I got home. I think that is key.

If I can say anything, any anxiety you are having prior to surgery, I would really advise you to rest assured.
