I still get no pop and no inflation, either. Giving up for today -- I'll let Kramer do it tomorrow afternoon and hopefully I'll learn how. But I think he may need vice grips .

I sometimes do not get the pop on the first pump, but always it pops on the second pump.

Re: Ams - what is the pop?
You have given important overlooked information. This is the first time I have heard the button described as a spool value. Why isn't there a mechanical drawing and explanation of how the value works. If we understood this there would be a lot less frustration. Can you give more info about this valve.
I am three months out with a AMS 700 GLX and have huge problems. Only occasionaly do I get the pop. And then as you say pumping is real easy. BUT after about 5 pumps the blub gets as hard as hell. I have to press with two hands (one thumb on top of the other). So I also have problem with the deflate as well. I can press that bloody release button but have to do so so hard that it hurts and often have to use both hands to feel the fluid drain out. But then it does not drain out fully. Again even though I keep the button pressed hard I still cannot get the drain out I want.
Can anyone add or comment on this. Thannks.
