Firstly Newbie, let me say having an implant is a whole lot more fun than pills, pumps and needles. 
Changes? One of the most dramatic, noticeable and immediate effects of having an implant would be flaccid size. I, like many other men was formerly a grower......now I am a show-er.
My deflated cock is a tad over 6".....all the time. Is it an issue? No, the more time goes by the more it feels 'right' ......in other words I have gotten used to it and love having a permanent 'package in my pants.
I am at the 8 month mark now and pumped up I am about 6 3/4" and around 5 3/4" in girth. My girth has increased over the last couple of months with twice daily cycling.......I continue with that program because some research shows success at increasing girth and possibly length(I don't have a sense my length will increase but almost 7" will do me!).
The biggest change though is regular and lengthy sex sessions with my beautiful GF the divine Miss H. It is amazing what a change it has made for me being able to have an instant and then constant erection. 68,Titan Touch 22cm+1.5cm rte's op done in Melbourne Aust by Dr Chris Love-Feb 2017 Venous leakage over a 2 year period, did pills and Caverject. Length@ 3 1/2years is: 7+” erect, 6.5” flaccid and almost 6” girth. REZUM Feb 21 ejaculation now normal.

Dave, 80, Maryland - Implant (Titan) 2008 by Dr. Andrew Kramer (failed Sept 2020) - never used due to a stroke that, among other things, ended my sex life.

I have had an implant for 15 years: One inserted in 2002, wore out 12 years later and replaced in 2014. My flaccid/uninflated penis is 1.5" longer than it was before prostate cancer surgery, and the implant makes my penis hard and manly and fun to use whenever I want to. 
As far as shape, when inflated it is as full as it was when I was younger, so I am definitely happy with that!
