Just wondering your post-op instructions were. This is my second time to receive an implant. Same doctor but differs instructions. I have been instructed to lay flat on my back for a week. The only time ip is to eat and go to the restroom. It's hard to stand a pee cause it's semihard and is pointing up like a real erection. I'm having to sit like a puppy and try to keep from peeing in the floor. I've walked a little inside but the nurse said no exercise for the first week. They called this afternoon and scheduled my follow up on oct 18
Thanks in advance for your replies.

Re: Instructions post op
I basicly stayed in my recliner for 3 weeks
Re: Instructions post op
Very similar to my instructions... I was told strict bed rest first two days, and then gradually add walking for a few minutes each day when/if possible. My penis was supposed to remain partially inflated and pointing towards my waist. I am so happy that is over! Lol

Re: Instructions post op
I used my recliner when I got the first one bug they told me not to be in a recliner. I ain't sure why they changed. Laying on my back ain't good. I'm a side sleeper in the bed and back sleeper in a recliner. Well I lay on my back sometimes
But none of that right now.

Re: Instructions post op
The flat in bed was killing my back. Recliner vs flat back has to do with location of heart to implant I think. Maybe implant higher less brusing
Re: Instructions post op
Its been 15 days since my implant, and I am still sore, not as bad as the first few days, but I would say Moderately sore, especially when I am in bed the morning before I get up. Also when sit for a couple hours In a chair.
I feel like my penis is a little inflated, more than when I got out of the hospital. I wonder if the ice under my scrotum area could have inflated it.

Re: Instructions post op: Urinal
A urinal will be your friend for the next few weeks if not longer. In an earlier post I said you should leave the hospital with it.
Plus it will keep you from peeing all over the commode and floor. Others will thank you.

Re: Instructions post op
I was implanted 5 days ago. My doc said lay low for a couple days and my body would tell me how much I should be up after that. I wore compression shorts to keep my dick upright.
Like you I had a problem urinating because I was so inflated my penis pointed to about 1:00 with no give to push it down. I made an unplanned visit to my surgeon and he deflated it to 3:00. He also said he was happy with my progress and suggested I start manipulating my shaft to angle downward so it will appear to hang naturally versus standing out due to the cylinders.
I walk around the house a few times a day, but am still either sitting or laying most of the time. I am a swimmer and was told not to do that for at least a month. He is really leaving it up to me to understand my body and its readiness to get back to normal. He did my prostatectomy and used the same philosophy then. I healed quickly from that.

I am 64 and had ED from a VL. Implanted by Dr. Ronald Anglade in Atlanta on 9/18/17. I have an AMS700LGX 21 cm via a Penoscrotal incision. Very happy with results. 6" soft and 6 3/4” x 5 5/8” hard.
Re: Instructions post op
I was told to stay in bed for the first 3 days -- after that I could do some light walking around. I walked about 15-20 minutes on day 3 and probably 45 on day 4 (spread throughout the day). Dr. Kramer says that after day 3 you can travel which obviously involves a bit of standing and sitting upright for a significant portion of the day -- I waited til day 5 and it was a bit uncomfortable but manageable -- I made sure to get the extra legroom seating.
Dr. Kramer said no cardio for 3 weeks and no weight lifting for 4.
For the first couple of days I just went into the shower to pee

ED since 35 with no known cause -- injections successful for over a decade with 10/1/30 and less than 20units but that became ineffective. Implanted penoscratally by Dr. Kramer of Baltimore on 9/13/17 with AMS 700 LGX 21cm + 0.5cm RTE at 47 years old
