Autoject El is Incredible!!!
Re: Autoject El is Incredible!!!
I was told by my urologist that* Autoject types* aren't reliable and they've had *issues*. They preferred the type I have shown here.....with MANUAL plunger. Less moving parts to deal with and to go wrong. I agree...I just don't see any advantage to an *auto-plunger*. To me the main advantage of any *auto-injector* is 1) not seeing needle go in 2) Quick injection without awareness of direct penetration of needle.

I held it in for 5 seconds (there is a window showing you inject the medicine).
rondad wrote:My opinion is that you missed - you shouldn't get any blood in my experience. Another thing you can look at is the speed at which the plunger goes down (if you have the EI with the visual indicator). If it is very slow (more than 2 seconds), then you missed.
This is a little bit of a challenge with the Autoject - it's easy to point the injector at an angle rather than perpendicular to the Tunica. Are you at the 9 o'clock or 11 o'clock position?

I did get a little blood when I had a good injection and had the desired effect. I probably did miss.
I'm not sure why I keep missing, I'm injecting at the 9 or 11 o'clock positions, I try to get a semi erection before I inject. I have a couple theories, but I don't know.

My problem isn't seeing the needle go in, it's my essential tremor. I have zero problems with needles when someone else is injecting me.
Mid 30's. I have had ED for years after a couple of injuries. Suspected venous leak.

Whats the difference between Autoject EL and Autoject 2. Everywhere I look has Autoject2 only.

The EL has the plunger out the back to show the medicine going in. No other difference.
80, started ED issues in late 50's. Used Viagra, Cialis with some success but unreliable, expensive and side effects not acceptable. Started using Trimix 11/2016 and quit being effective. Implanted on May 22, 2014 by Dr Dean Knoll. AMS 700.
Re: Autoject El is Incredible!!!
I used the auto-inject today and it did not work. I use 10 units. First shot got no response. Late I tried again and got very little reaction. The only thing I can think of is the needle hits the hard layer over the muscle and injects the trimix before it passes through that layer. Never had a miss with manual injection.

Re: Autoject El is Incredible!!!
Make sure you keep the Autoject and the needle in for 4-5 seconds. That's how long it takes for the instrument to inject the Trimix. If you pull it out immediately it will inject it in the air. 10 units is such a small amount the you may not even notice it.
Give it another try. I love mine!

Re: Autoject El is Incredible!!!
I used the auto-inject the first time this week. Doing the injections my self, I got results at 7 units and more at 10 units. With the auto-inject I got no results with 7 units. I got very little results from auto-injected 10 units. It is like the mix is not getting into the muscle. Glancing off when it hits the tunica, or injecting half the mix as it tries to pierce the tunica. I am going back to direct hand injecting.

As a followup to last post. Two days after I used the autoject and had a failure. My penis is all black and blue on that side. Mix was injected in my skin on top of the tunica.

Re: Autoject El is Incredible!!!
Sounds like you hit a vein. If it was just under the skin it would be only a bump.
I have to use reading glasses and carefully look at the surface while stretching the skin so I can see the vein.

Bruises are caused by vessels under the skin bleeding. If you have a bruise, you hit a vessel/vein.
