Implant Nov 13, 2017

Postby ocitgo » Tue Oct 03, 2017 4:16 am

I am not new to Franktalk, I have done everything but this. I was just 77 and running out of time. Since a bone marrow transplant in 1993 for leukemia I have been struggling with ED. My urologist suggested it last office visit. He has been with me for several years for other reasons. He performed many surgeries related to a failed TURP by another doctor. He is local and I trust him. He uses AMS and we talked at length about it and how many he has done. This gave me the confidence and hope to bring back this important part of my life. My wife and I have been married since 1963 and have 4 adult children and 7 grand children. We miss this part of our life. Sex has not been normal for far too long. If I can remember my password I will keep in touch.

Even though I could have orgasms manually and orally, we couldn't have intercourse because I couldn't have an erection and be able to penetrate. We really missed this "special connection" between couples, and were so very happy that an implant was just what was needed.

May I suggest that you create a signature. It makes things much easier to answer your questions without asking a lot of questions. Here's how you do it
Click on your name in the top right corner and select "user control panel"

Then under the big letters "User Control Panel" there is a row of words... select "Profile"

Then down the left had side of the "User Control Panel" select "Edit Signature" (You might have Create Signature or something. I don't know exactly what you'll get because I already have a signature to edit)

Most guys put something like what I have, but you can put whatever you want. Here is mine -
"AMS 700 (18 + 2 rte's). Implanted March 30, 2017 by Dr. Brock of London, Ont, CANADA. Great surgeon. Went in to septic shock and had to have implant removed April 29, 2017. I'm from Belleville, Ontario, CANADA. Appt. for consult for second attempt is on November 6, 2017... I can't wait."

Don't get too carried away with the doctor like his name, address, phone number, etc (anything that looks like advertising for him).. you can certainly say Dr. Jones (great Dr.)

If you need further help, please ask, that's what I'm here for.

Best wishes to you. I was just implanted three weeks ago. I will be happy to answer any questions I can.
I am 64 and had ED from a VL. Implanted by Dr. Ronald Anglade in Atlanta on 9/18/17. I have an AMS700LGX 21 cm via a Penoscrotal incision. Very happy with results. 6" soft and 6 3/4” x 5 5/8” hard.

I am busy reading this list and watching videos on youtube while waiting for my turn. Next monday is preop at my local hospital and the next monday is the surgery. My urologist has done many and has a very good reputation. He does the AMS.

He has done many surgeries on me for a failed TURP by another urologist over several years. Turps have been replaced by a new procedure that doesn't core out the prostate and remove the bladder neck. There is no fix for me but that doesn't get in they way of an implant.

Thank you, we are almost neighbors. I live near Seattle.
I was good until I had a bone marrow transplant in 1993 for leukemia at the age of 52. Basically nothing worked well since then. I really screwed up with a Turp a few years ago. Never do that if at all possible. Chemo, age and a Turp (Transurethral Resection of the Prostate) all negatives. I hope an implant makes me young again.

Today is my day. I will stay over 1 night. It will be at Harrison Medical Center by Dr Manas Jain. I was there last week for my long term turp problem.
