Huge Anxieties

Postby liber.tine » Mon Oct 09, 2017 6:39 pm

1 hour ago i first saw a full-length video of the procedure during surgery. Iam quite shocked about how painful it looks. I wish i didnt see it. Worst part was when they puncture the glans, i didnt know this is necessary, thought the glans is left untouched.

The penis is the most sensitive part of the body, when i think about what will be done to my penis, i wanna cry. My surgery will be in 10 days and iam full of fear and have racking headaches.

How did all of you manage this psychowar? Iam 28 and this is the worst time of my life, sometimes i dont know how to go on.

Lots of guys are uneasy when they think about what is going to happen but, let's think about this for a second... they put you to sleep, after surgery, the little bit of pain there might be is taken care of with really good drugs and finally, when you think of spending the rest of your life with limp dick syndrome there are no more second thoughts. :)

The pain is manageable. The puncture in the glans is not even an issue. Never feel pain there in recovery. You are prescribed meds for pain as Larry said. Use as needed. Stay off your feet and ice in the first week. The time will pass and the benefits are worth all the effort. You will be fine !

Like those who previously posted there is nothing to worry about. I was 77 years old when I had my implant. I am now 80 and still feel like it's the best thing I ever did for both my wife and myself. As the other guys said your Dr. will help you manage any pain you may have.
Just keep in mind all of the ladies who you will please over the years. :D
Oh, and one more thing, I watched the videos too. I wanted to see what they were going to do to me. No worry and best of luck.

the first time I watched a video of the procedure, it was very disturbing. I think I have become adjusted to what has to be done so watching is not so shocking anymore. in fact, I am trying to convince my dr. to let me stay fully conscious with a spinal nerve block and local numbing so I can learn as much as possible about what he is actually doing to me and what problems, if any, he encounters. I'll let you know what happens.
updated: 70 y.o., implanted with titan nov. 3 by Dr. Brady in orlando to correct peyronies. 20 cm with 3 cm RTEs. due to the severity of the peyronies, some internal excisions were made scrotally, recovery will probably take a little longer.

Anxiety is 100% normal. If you didn't have any, I would be more concerned. It is out of your control. Just follow your doctor's instructions. Relax knowing hundreds of thousands have had this surgery, and satisfaction rates are extraordinarily high.

I am glad that I had not seen one of these videos before I got my implant, because since I am not a medical professional, I am not used to all that blood, etc. during surgery.

I fully understand at your age how you watched the video and thought it looked like something to be afraid of. I watched numerous implant videos and it had the opposite affect on me. I marveled that a surgery could take care of a problem that had plagued me for many years. I had my implant surgery 3 weeks ago and am so happy I did. It is too soon to tell you how great my sex life will be because my doctor wants me to wait until the 5 week mark. What I can share is I only took one pain pill the day I got home from the hospital and that was actually more to help me sleep well than needing it for pain. I have had mild discomfort, very little bruising or swelling. Yes, our penises are very sensitive parts of our bodies, but you will be out cold when all that stuff is happening. Even if you do have pain, you will have pain pills to help. The real question is do you want to fix your ED and resume an enjoyable sex life or do you want to go on as you are because you saw a video that turned you off?

Pain-wise, my recovery period pretty much matches this account. I had more aching (rather than actual pain) on my left side wherein the reservoir was installed than in my actual penis/scrotum area. Worst part was trying to sleep for the first 24 hours w/ the catheter. Took a grand total of two Percocets, then switched to OTC pain meds/Motrin etc. After a week or so, no OTC pain pills needed. Did a little icing w/ the ice bag as well, but overall, it was remarkable how pain-free the entire experience was for me...would do it again in a NY minute...
