Underwear immediately post-operation

Postby Lost Sheep » Tue Oct 10, 2017 4:45 pm

It seems most of the testimony about underwear for the implanred man has to do with garments in after recovery is over.

What about in the first few days after/weeks surgery? It seems to me that there aare two choices, very loose or none and very tight. Loose is obvious in its advantages. Tight (as in bike shorts or the like) gives the advantage of minimizing swelling.

Thoughts? Experiences?

Scheduled for implant October 30 2017

P.S. My doctor recommends pointing up and expects to leave me at about 50% inflated for two weeks post-op if that mskes any difference

Ask your dr. This subject has been brought up and a very heated discussion about.

I have that same concern but can't find any one thread with much information.

Several guys have mentioned "Jockey Elance Poco" briefs as being recommended immediately post-op, either one or two pairs together as needed for support. Amazon has that brief.

Obe reason it got so heated is the op and I have the same dr and he is very specfic on what he wants post op. That why I said ask your dr. I not going to get into. Just remember if your Dr says one thing and you do something else you have gone against his advice, not a good way to start a relationship with someone that will be cutting on your dick or balls

I am still looking for that thread.

My Doctor and I have established a pretty good relationship in a very short time. I will follow his directions and he listens to my questions and opinions. He appreciates that I have spent a year researching my condition and the procedures to address it and even mentioned to his nurse that I am well-versed. He asked me if I was in a medical profession. I infer that he respects my opinion, which i value in a doctor almost as much as his/her medical expertise.

I want to know things because it will make me a better patient, not waste his time with extraneous questions (I would rather waste time here and with independent research than his with uneducated questions) and enable a better outcome than if I were ignorant of factors that could affect said outcome.

Collaborating like this will let the medical team and me optimize my outcome. The knowledge I gain here will help me be a better collaborstor there.

That's my philosophy and I'm sticking to it.

That is exactly the way it should be
