Inject Near Base or Further Up?
Inject Near Base or Further Up?
I am looking to perfect my technique and saw a urologist on YouTube recommending a finger's width from the base. I'm injecting from the 9 o'clock or 3 o'clock position. Where do you inject and from what angle?
I've tried everything -- pills, injections pumps -- and now I am at the final frontier.
Re: Inject Near Base or Further Up?
In my first months of injecting I was that same short distance from the base and didn't have constant success. My compounding pharmacy, following up to a survey in which I mentioned this, got me in touch with one of their urologists. He said to try half way down my penis, further away from the base than I had been injecting. He also told me to make sure the needle made a definite dimple in my penis before I injected the Trimix. That has made all the difference. I have not had a failure since then. Of course I try to vary the spots (including left side, right side) to avoid scarring, but I aim more for mid penis than nearer the base.
Married, 66 yrs old, ED for 22 yrs. On TriMix for 5 yrs. Live in the Adirondacks of NY. Would be a nudist if it weren't for the black flies and the short summers.
Re: Inject Near Base or Further Up?
Yeah, pretty much what graymare said. Except the dimple part. That will depend on dick width and needle length. With me using 5/16" needle dimpling is a definite yes.
I do more of a 10 and 2 location but just make sure you're aiming toward the center whether 10-2 or 9-3. I do find it more difficult and actually more painful if too close to the base. A finger width is too close.
I vary but the easiest for me is: Right side, 2:00, about a third of the way up from the base, a 5/16 needle and well dimpled.
Once you get it figured out you need to vary the location even if if it's a bit more difficult. You don't want to develop fibrosis or scar tissue due to over using one spot.

Re: Inject Near Base or Further Up?
I'm having good results alternating sides L/R approx 3/4 " out to 1.5 " from base @ 9/3 and 10/2 was thinking about jumping ahead and trying out to the begining of the circumcision ring and working my way back to home plate.. I'll gladly report back with results.. Oh yeah .. I don't go straight in at 90° just slight down angle .. I believe I'm 16 for 16 using Bldoink method of checking for plunger resistance before injecting the meds .. I also use a 31G 5/16 and have to bury it to the plastic hub .. Once again Bldoink.. Thanks for the informative video!

Forgot to mention...I feel the closer I am to the base , Its harder to Pierce the skin .. Almost seems thicker but not really much more pain just need more force is all..

Re: Inject Near Base or Further Up?
I think fresh ground seems to work better. I was at the point where I simply couldn't get the needle in farther down. I was able to have some success giving the needle a quick thrust.

Once again Bldoink.. Thanks for the informative video!
You're very welcome. If it made life easier for one person it was worth it. Maybe one day I'll try to make a better version. I was nervous doing it.

Ok, so I tried injecting out around my circumcision scar .. that's approximately 1" back from my glands .. No luck .. I figure I went to deep , possibly bad angle also , even with 5/16" syringe because I nicked the ureathra , ouch! ... Got a tiny bit of blood out the opening... I backed completely out readjusted and tried again at a near by spot, I but couldn't get plunger to depress smoothly "Bldoink's demonstration of this technique in his video has been absolutely 100% effective for me zero misses to date and I suggest anyone struggling to hit the "Sweet spot" to give it a try"...Anyways , I withdrew the needle and went back to the old faithful spots and fired away! Success! I don't know what I did wrong and I guess if I kept trying I'd get it but no really feeling confident so far away from home..
