Pheonix,
may I ask if you think the antidepressants may have caused your ED and libido loss or if your ED and libido loss created anxiety that need medication. I ask because the onset of my ED has caused anxiety that I am thinking of trying to treat with medication. I am nervous because I had strong libido prior to ED but the ED has been fucking with my mind and changing the way I feel about sex and ultimately I think it has resulted in a lower libido.

You mention 5 mg daily cialis became hit or miss, did you try higher daily doses? 5 mg for me is hit or miss for multiple daily sex sessions but 10 mg works better. Are you opposed to 10 mg daily?

I'm sure you'll have a great surgical outcome and I hope you have a speedy recovery.

My advice is just to take it easy and plant yourself on your favorite chair or couch. Stay off you feet as much as possible at least for the first 5 to 7 days. I started feeling good at day 4 and decided to fix a dryer. Big mistake. I paid for it. Even though you might feel good, you need to rest. After the second week, it gets a whole lot better :D .

As stated. Rest. Stay off your feet. Ice helps tons. I used frozen corn or peas. Keeps swelling to a minimum. Best to you !

Hello everyone,

Thank a lot for your support and advise in my journey.

Officially became "bionic" on the 24th October.

Had a pre-surgery appointment with Dr Love on the 23rd at 4:15 pm to discuss the procedure, etc. (mainly to put my mind at ease). I was pleased with the way Dr Love explained everything and demonstrated confidence (which naturally comes from many years of experience). Measures flaccid length with a ruler (17.5cm).

Checked into the hospital at 5 pm as my surgery is scheduled first thing in the morning. Instructed to use chlorhexidine scrub head to toe once at night and once after waking up. Iv cannula inserted to administer antibiotics.

A nurse comes in at 3:47 am to wake me up and administer antibiotics. Administers Gentamycin first though IV route followed by Vancomycin. Start to experience burning and itching sensation immediately. Called the nurse immediately and informed regarding possible allergic reaction. The nurse stops Vancomycin drip and does a saline wash. Cephalosporin antibiotic administered after speaking to the Surgeon.

Yay Action Time. Wheeled into the OT at 8 am. Can't remember a thing after that. Woke up and was told the procedure went exceptionally well. There was a drop in Blood pressure, and they managed with administering some drugs. Was informed that he was able to get in 24cm Titan.

Very little pain but feels uncomfortable. Apparently, they have inserted a prosthesis in there. It feels heavy in the lower left abdomen area, and they told that Dr Love prefers to place a sandbag to reduce swelling. Sandbag left for 4 hours post surgery. Am informed that I had access to Patient Controlled analgesia (morphine) and to use it as many times as I want. Dr Love comes in to check the recovery and progress. He says there is nothing much to tell, was a straightforward case.

I got discharged from the hospital with a range of painkillers. Have been wearing loose PJ and a supportive underwear. Taking it easy as recommended by everyone.

Great update, you have arrived! And the initial report is highly favorable. To my knowledge and I know too much about this without even having an implant, a 24 cm Titan should give you all of your 17.5, so unless the laws of physics are fucked up then you were sized well and shouldn't be disappointed, at least after cycling for a couple of months. Rest easy on that front! Phew! I'm sure you'll have good pump placement too!

Please keep updating through to successful application of the device! I'm interested to hear how your wife is taking all of this and if she is helping you out during this time. It would also be helpful for other members to know how you're evolving mentally, i.e., going from fuck my dick is broken for 6 years to whoa I have a bionic dick. What I'm saying is, please thoroughly document the phoenix rising out of the ED ashes.

I'm personally going through the initial stage of ED following a sex injury that gave me peyronie's 6 months ago. Doctor's told me to wait and see if it gets better. The cialis and viagra are working but I can certainly tell I have a leak because I have to really try to keep it hard. I'm thinking about forgoing the years of fighting on cialis by getting implanted at the 12 months mark if my ED has not improved. I'm so happy to read stories like yours and others going through this and I'm eager to hear what it's like on the other side. In my mind this surgery is both scary and something completely incredible. It seems that the surgical techniques employed today are so advanced (or simplified) that this surgery does not need to be reserved for completely impotent men and may benefit those even taking pills.

My Implant was one week ago so my impressions are very fresh. The first day and night is an ordeal. About 4 hours after the surgery I was wheelchaired out of the hospital and driven back to our hotel by my wife (20 years younger than I). I used the Oxy and Motrin. I only slept 2 hours the first night and never got out of bed until the second day. Stopped the Oxy because it made me nauseous. I started walking and sitting in chairs on day two because I hate just lying in bed. Dr. Kramer paid me a visit in the hotel which was very nice. He cleared me to return home. I took a 2-hour flight back to Southwest Florida on the third day followed by a two-hour drive home. Wait as long as you can to go riding in cars and/or flying. It was tough. I'm so thankful to the guy on this board who recommended a donut. I bought two of them ($10.00 at Walgreens). I'm sitting on one of them now. They help a lot. For four days I used four small bags of petite peas (two at a time), one in the center of the donut under my balls and one under or over my dick. I even slept with the ice. I never had major swelling. The catheter is no fun, it hurt constantly. I think my wife (who is a physician) didn't get the balloon on the end completely empty (she swears she did and even took a photo that backs her up). And, that first pee was a very memorable event! I'm on day seven now. I'm' still walking a little bowlegged. Getting up/down from a chair still takes a little time. Off and on I wear briefs with a hole cut in the front (another suggestion from this board). The reservoir hurts, my dick hurts and my scrotum stitches hurt. Other than that, I'm doing pretty good. Because I have a semi-hardon (due to the cylinders being partially inflated), I keep getting horny whenever my wife is around. It's going to be difficult to wait four whole weeks. As far as advice: Get two donuts, four bags of peas and a bottle of Motrin. Make sure your hotel room has a freezer (for the peas). Bring a helper, if possible.
Age 72, wife is 52. 20+1 cm Titan Touch implanted by Dr. Kramer on 18 October 2017. Revision to AMS LGX 21+2 cm on 11 June 2018 by Dr. Carrion at Tampa General. Age-related ED + slight Peyronies bend (left) and slight hourglass in the center.

Phoenix,
Congratulations brother! I am happy for you that all went well. When you say your pre-implant fla cid measurement was 17.5cm, I assume that was stretched flaccid, correct? If that was unstretched your dick is going to be hanging to your knees with the implant!!! Either way you are well hung and from now on your will have a well-functioned cock that will serve you well. Again, congrats. You took the leap and soon you will reap the rewards. I just started having sex at the 5 week mark and it is awesome. If I can say that at age 61 with my 5.5” dick, you are going to love your new bionic tool. I hope you will keep us updated on your progress.
