I'm very sorry you're having such difficulties. I don't actually have any suggestions other than the obvious one to consult your doctor, which you should definitely do.
I again caution that I'm not qualified to give medical advice and I'm likely full of shit. Ask you doctor.
I do think the cock ring helps me. Just remember, if you try them with injections you can't use a tight one or you will most likely be constrained by the same time limits as with using one with a VED. The ones I use won't do anything for me without an injection and wouldn't keep me up using a VED either. They just help the injection. I've previously mentioned the ones I use. The velcro ties previously mentioned by another poster is something I plan to try also.
What type of pills were you using?
Pills alone don't do shit for me. They do help a bunch when using a VED which I otherwise have difficulty with. It's strange, the pills don't turn the hose on but they do open the valve and allow blood to be sucked through with the VED. Some strange nerve damage I'm guessing.
I also use a generic viagra with my injections. This allows me to use a lot less alprostadil resulting in less chance of alprostadil pain. This is, I believe, a strictly off label use and is cautioned against by some if not most medical professionals. I believe the fear is of causing a priapism. Should you recklessly consider this option it would be wise to start real low with your alprostadil and work your way back up again. My experience doing this is only with the generic viagra. I understand there may even be other cautions with some of the other pills due to the length of time they remain in the system. When my brand new to me uro (original retired) saw that I was using viagra with the injections he asked me why. When I explained to him that doing that allowed me to use considerably less alprostadil he simply said OK and that was the end of it. Take that however you want.
I should also add that in the beginning alprostadil didn't work well and it was only after repeated trials over a couple of months that I got consistent results. However, I attributed that to being due to having had a RP during the previous year but who knows.
I sure wish I had a magic answer for you. I wish you the best and I'll pray that you find a satisfactory answer.
