Question for those that were implanted young

Postby anotherguy » Thu Nov 09, 2017 11:24 am

I have a question for guys who were 40 years old or younger when they were implanted.

Ok, so I'm 40 years old and in good health with the exception of my ED. I just had my first visit at a penile doctor's implant office and they said that they want me to go through all of my non-surgical options before considering me for an implant since they don't consider my situation an emergency.

So how long did your process take or what were the steps before they scheduled the surgery if it wasn't considered an urgent case?

Thanks

This isn't an age related issue. As I understand it, all (or at least most) docs, and all insurances, require that other treatments have failed before approving an implant. You don't go to the most extreme and expensive solution unless other solutions don't work.

I know that and I understand and respect that they have to go through proper procedures as well. I just want to have this to be over already. Also, I'll be paying everything out of pocket if that matters.

What have you tried? Pills might work wonderfully for you.

It's been a while but I've tried Viagra and it worked great at first. I had sex while on it a few times at first but I haven't had a girlfriend since then. I still use Viagra sometimes to get more of that full stretch but now it helps but it doesn't work too well. I'm gonna be trying Cialis per the doctor's orders.

I'm not even going to try injections. I want an implant :(

Whatever works for you. Doing the injections isn't nearly as bad as you might think. There's actually very little pain involved in the process. It's not like you're poking a needle in the head of your dick or balls. There aren't very many nerves where you inject. We're talking mild pinch type pain, no more.

You can always get a second opinion....

Have a look at my "Went to the doctor!" post.

My surgeon (who is recommended by ppl on this website) left it all in my hands.
Pills have stopped working consistently, don't want to do shots or pumps.

I've scheduled my implant for February 6th!
Insurance didn't even need me to run through a bunch of tests to cover it.

Don't let them tell you what to do with your equipment.
I would never shoot drugs into my dick. no way no how.
