Glad they caught it skin level and hopefully you're all good!

I'm notoriously bad at changing bed sheets, but I am good about clean underwear.

Wonder what the incision will be like compared to a vasectomy.... I had about a dime size incision on my scrotum from that procedure.
Healed up nicely in about a month.

Don't mind me just over here pondering things.

The incision will be bigger than a vasectomy for sure. It will look quite large at the beginning as the scortum is quite swollen then it will shrink to about 1" in my case after healing.

Matt,
My thoughts and prayers are with you. I hope you are on the mend and have no further problems. I am sure that was scary, but glad you caught it early. Keep us updated on your recovery.

I am 64 and had ED from a VL. Implanted by Dr. Ronald Anglade in Atlanta on 9/18/17. I have an AMS700LGX 21 cm via a Penoscrotal incision. Very happy with results. 6" soft and 6 3/4” x 5 5/8” hard.

Oh, I also suffer from a severe case of Menieres since I was 36; totally disabled since then since it is bilateral. I was never recommended to cut the cochlear nerves since they runs intertwined with the hearing ones, and at such young age I did not want to go deaf.
54 years old, happily married for 30 years to a beautiful & outstanding lady. Onset ED at 49. Finally fixed on 11/08/2017 by the master Dr. Eid with a Titan XL 26, no RTEs! Previously had 3 AMS implants (LGX & CX), all botched.

I was down to 10% hearing in that ear. All I could hear was noise It was the vestibular nerve not cochlear

Thank you for your support. After 6 days of high dose anti-biotic, the infection has cleared out and I no longer feel any pain the groin. It was a close call, but thank God, it is gone now. Lessons learnt again: go to emergency if you suspect anything. Better safe than sorry. Any pain in the groin could be an indication that the lymph nodes are reacting to an infection nearby.
