My surgeon does have you stay overnight w/ catheter and partially inflated.
The pain I imagine I'll feel partially inflated oof! but I'm ready!

I am 8 days post-op. Immediately post-op it felt like a bee stung the end of my penis, inflated about 75%. Later, it began feeling like the end of my penis was caught in a vice.

Mr Dr deflated me to about 55% and I felt better.

From my reading, I figure I had less ache and pain than 70% of implanted men.

What I am saying is, be prepared to ache for a while. Also, take home the plastic urinal they will give you at the hospital. It will be useful. Getting out of bed will be difficult because your torso muscles will be bruised.

Good luck

Thanks for the advice LostSheep!!

She is mostly concerned about surgery problems as there's always risk of complications AND about the costs which I double checked with my insurance today. She also was honest today and said she was worried it would always feel the same and my dick wouldn't be as hard. I assured her the implant can get as hard if not harder than the real thing; and that it can be pumped to varying degrees of hardness so there CAN be variation and consistent hardness. Which she was happy to hear. I sent her the forum threads regarding women's thoughts and perspectives which I think was important. She's getting as excited as I am about this!

Honestly her being supportive was a huge weight lifted and makes me very happy.

That's awesome! I feel like the implant will give me my sexuality back too as the knowledge that I have ED and peyronie's has stolen it from me. That's what I really want, the peace of mind and confidence in myself again. And of course the knowledge that I will always be able to provide for my girlfriend or wife. Fear of permanent ED and the lowered libido because of it makes me feel like I'm selling my girlfriend a lemon of a man. I'm glad she's supportive and with a good surgical outcome I'm sure she'll be more than satisfied.

Few questions:

You said she's worried it won't be as hard. Clearly this is a non-issue, if anything you could be too hard! But this implies that you can have sex right now and get hard. You also stated previously that you can get a good erection when you masturbate, is that with or without a pill? If your girlfriend tried to have sex with you everyday and you were on 20 mg of cialis or 100mg viagra do you think you could have sustained sex?

Have you gone over any questions with your surgeon? Has he told you what length he will give you via the stretch test, have you decided on AMS or Titan, have you asked him about pump placement?

Personally, I would be disappointed without pump placement behind my testicles. I've been afraid that going to lesser known surgeons might result in pump placement high and in front. Have you been able to confirm with your surgeon where you will have your pump?

After getting your girlfriend excited and deciding to go through with it, it seems the onus is on you to ensure the best surgical outcome that you can. What have you done regarding this?

also, maybe your girlfriend could read this: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=6513

Peyronie's: 6 months, indents cause loss of 0.5 inches of girth, fibrosis growing, caused ED.
ED: 10mg Cialis daily, getting headaches, not interested in VED/injections.
Considering implant to avoid a lifetime of cialis and to correct deformity.

I definitely feel like a broken or failed partner (lemon) when I think of our sexual relationship. You're not alone in that thinking.

She is referring to my dick when it's on pills which I had been taking 100mg viagra(generic) every day for the last 2 months or so with varying degrees of success.
She thought that the outside of my dick would stay soft while it was just the inside that's hard she looked at pics and videos and realizes that's not how it works.
We've been together for 3 years so we have been having sex together a while now, so she is also thinking of how hard it has gotten in the past, when the pills were a sure thing for me.
I would take 1/2 a 100mg or even 1/4 and be hard for the whole night. Ah those were the days.

We haven't done the stretch test, I have a pre-op meeting with him 2 weeks prior to surgery and we'll do the testing then.
He does do the penoscrotal surgery versus the infrapubic. I beleive JTVallee had to do infrapubic due to certain penile related issues. Fibrous/scartissue etc.
I honestly haven't researched enough between the two. Fortunately I have a couple months to read up :)
I'll also discuss pump placement with him during the appointment mentioned above. It's not his first rodeo, I think he will place it perfectly.
I'm not entirely worried about placement. I'd like to have it somewhere I can easily access it, not necessarily hidden too far behind.
Don't need a 3rd testicle look either tho. Gotta look good in my mankini right!? LOL

I have wanted to go with the Coloplast Titan OTR since I decided I'd want to do this.
They're more firm, and more reliable as I've read, I'm sure I'd be fine with either but overall it was the one I liked more.

Haha he comes highly regarded in the field and he's down the road from me so it was a win win. I have no worries that the implant will deliver satisfying results for my girlfriend and myself.

Regarding your girlfriend, it might be useful to share this article from MensHealth:

Why Penile Implants Are the New Boob Job
A woman tells you what it’s like to sleep with a man who has a medically enhanced erection

BY ANKA RADAKOVICH SEPTEMBER 21, 2015 Men'sHealth Magazine

I recently met a guy with a sexual secret.
He was 39, in great shape, and in his spare time was a CrossFit athlete. But he had diabetes, and he told me that it made him impotent.
He was so cute and funny, I didn’t really care. Besides, an erect, on-demand, rock hard schlong that could go for hours? I was in.
And now that women are getting vaginal rejuvenation to tighten their baby makers, it seemed silly to be afraid of the latest improvements in medical technology.
The implant consists of two plastic rods that go into the penis and an attached reservoir filled with saline solution is placed in the lower stomach. Then a pump with a valve is implanted in their scrotum. (Read our full report on How Penile Implants Work.)
I’d seen a penile implant before, at a nudist resort. A guy in his 70s—who called his “The Pump”—played volleyball erect, chatted erect, and even dined erect.
But seeing it is one thing. For something more intimate, like actual sex, would I be able to tell the difference between a regular raging boner and a medically enhanced one?
“Some single or divorced men who are in new relationships don’t even tell their partners they have the implant, and their partners never find out,” says Dr. William Brant, M.D. a urologist and advisor to http://www.edcure.org, who specializes in the procedure.
After a few dates, I was curious to road test this innovative inflatable device. I admit I was nervous when he came over. And when it came to actual intercourse, I got scared for a second.
There are four levels of hardness: limp, half-chub, hard, and “OMG you’re going to kill me with that thing.” I feared it would feel like I was fornicating with a baseball bat.
We made out for a while, and then he grabbed his manhood and did about 20 or so “squeeze pumps,” taking his thumb and forefinger and squeezing a grape-like bulb underneath his junk.
I watched it inflate in a few seconds, like one of those balloon animals at a carnival.

And the results? It felt like a normal stiffee in my hand, and I didn’t feel the pump or valve when I road tested it in my mouth.
It was rock hard, like it should be, but I didn’t feel like I was sucking a tail pipe or anything. And by the time we actually did the deed, I forget all about the implant and enjoyed myself.
After he finished, the thing was still standing at attention. Since there is no refractory period, his bazooka was ready to go. It was bionic.
“Dude, you should go over to CrossFit and see if anyone wants to use that thing as a pull-up bar,” I told him.
To deflate, a quick pump or two of a valve—located next to the pumper upper—released the saline solution back into the reservoir and it went back down.
In the end, our summer romance ended, and my “Penile Implant Guy” moved out of New York. But someday we will meet again. We might be 80 by then, but he’ll have the boner of an 18-year-old.

I think the article is quite accurate, especially the part about the firmness being adjustable (some women might not like the super hard since there is no "give", but others might really love the rock jard state -- different strokes for differet women)

Also, I think the part about using it as a "pull-up bar" is just not accurate. I can hold up a beach towel with mine, but that is about it.

By the way, I am quite enthusiastic about your schedule. We are exactly in synchrony, but one year apart. Last year, in November, I made the decision to have surgery. I had preop appointment in January. Surgery on February 7.

Some people have considered replacing their birthday with their surgery date, since it was such a life changing positive event. I suppose giving up your B-day is rather silly, but I assure that we bionics all celebrate our "dick day" with fondness and gusto.

Yay dick day buddies!!!

Interesting point my gf brought up today.

She wondered if the "solution" wasn't an implant but just "forgetting about my dick" and pleasing her in other ways.
I don't think she understood the worry, anxiety, self-loathing, depression behind ED.

It IS quite a selfish problem. Train of thought, "Why would I play with you, please you if my dick won't work anyways?"
I explained that with this one piece out of the way, I'll be much more confident in pleasing her in every way. Mouth, toy, massage, etc.
We'll have a few more good talks before the surgery I feel. We're very vocal and discuss any problems that we come across.
Most are insecurities within ourselves.

Anyway Thanks for the encouragement and everything.
I'm asking my doc a few extra things, Pump placement, stretch test, overnight stay etc.
Will update when I hear from him or his nurse.

Update RE: talking to doctor about questions I posed....

1.) Doc said using a VED can improve length in prep for the surgery, by a small margin at least. like 1/3 of an inch.
So I've asked for him to prescribe one in the lead up to my surgery....

2.) The pump will go in front of and between the testes. Seems like a good spot for me. Easy access :)

3.) He'll stretch the shaft with a rod during surgery to get a feel for the best size cylinder.
He noted that the spongey veins don't go all the way up to the tip f the penis, so the cylinders will be roughly 1/2 way up the head.
He said that during his measuring, he'll put in the longest cylinders that will fit. I assume that by longest he means the longest that will fit safely/comfortably.
This is not his first rodeo and my bionic brother that already had him as a surgeon doesn't have any complaints.

Getting more excited the closer surgery gets!
I'm starting to workout in anticipation for more sex and to have a good looking bod for when spring/summer comes around as I'll be healed up by March/April.

There are several post on the VED strecting protocol. Just need to do a search. It will help restore what you have lost not make you bigger , it will also help the surgeron . It an easy protocol but can be a little painful. The real pain is insurance not paying for it.

When you start streching you will not use the rings. You will need to mark the tube with a sharpie to track your progress.
