I concur with my bretheren.....they have covered the issues perfectly....my comment would be that more than 10 months post op now, my Titan is now simply a part of me and I don't really think too much about it.
It has become very, very easy to operate both up and down which means the pleasure it provides is now the focus, not the surgical process and recovery.....in a word, awesome.

Ask for the keyring model early so that you can start getting familiar with the pump and deflate valve. Wrap it in a washcloth to simulate your sac

They will give a semi functional model of your pump. Just does not pump saline

Please create a signature. It makes things much easier to answer your questions without asking a lot of questions. Here's how you do it
Click on your name in the top right corner and select "user control panel"

Then under the big letters "User Control Panel" there is a row of words... select "Profile"

Then down the left had side of the "User Control Panel" select "Edit Signature" (You might have Create Signature or something. I don't know exactly what you'll get because I already have a signature to edit)

Most guys put something like what I have, but you can put whatever you want. Here is mine -
"AMS 700 (18 + 2 rte's). Implanted March 30, 2017 by Dr. Brock of London, Ont, CANADA. Great surgeon. Went in to septic shock and had to have implant removed April 29, 2017. I'm from Belleville, Ontario, CANADA. Appt. for consult for second attempt is on November 6, 2017... I can't wait."

Don't get too carried away with the doctor like his name, address, phone number, etc (anything that looks like advertising for him).. you can certainly say Dr. Jones (great Dr.)

My doc gave me one a few weeks prior and it helped with the learning curve. I would put it in the wash cloth and then lay with it and hold between my legs to get a feel like she had told me to. Helped when I got activated as I already could do it by feel

The injury left me with major deficits in my ability to learn new information as well as pretty much destroyed my short term memory. Any feedback back on your experiences will be most appreciated.

If you train without engaging your brain, can the muscle memory in your hand retain the training? The assistance of a physical therapist might help. I am thinking this is not unlike learning to make a perfect gold swing, tennis serve or the Slingerland method of treating Dyslexia.

As others have said, the main issue is simply minding your recovery time and your body being ready. My scrotum never swelled up much after surgery, but even so I had a difficult time differentiating my balls from the pump. I felt down there each day and eventually the day came when I could feel everything and it was easy to figure out how to inflate and deflate. The learning curve for me was more about how hard my wife wants my erection for sex, how hard I want it for masturbation, etc. after trying a couple things that comes pretty naturally. On time there was confusion betwern pump and ball was when I was showing wife. She thought the rt ball was the pump. She will not pump it

I was activated last Wednesday, six weeks in. Up till then I couldn't find it in myself to even touch the thing. Up till last Wednesday i'd not even been shown what was put inside of me.
I'd only seen doctors but the person Ithat activated me was a lady nurse who was fantastic, she brought in a Titan Touch for me to have a look at and gave me the key ring, which I have had in my pocket since.
Anyway since last Wednesday I'm like a kid with a new toy, inflating is easy but I'm still a bit cack handed with the deflate. My problem is that when I get turned on my scrotum shrivels up making it hard to poke about looking for the button. Laying in bed this morning having a feel while my ball bag was all saggy I could feel everything very easily.
Had a little pump and waited for the wife to wake up!
Then couldn't find the deflate button so showered, made breakfast and sorted it before I took the dog for a walk.
