Physician recommendation St. Louis area.

Postby postra7777 » Sun Nov 26, 2017 10:51 pm

I was wondering if any one had a recommendation for a surgeon to perform a implant surgery on me. I live in St. Louis area and would like someone in the area and experenced.
Suffered with ED for most of my life. Viagra then to Trimix then implanted 3/8/2018 with AMX 700 CX 21cm with 1cm RTE. 50 years old Urolift procedure performed 30 day prior to my implant surgery.

You might want to flag down Alibaba in a PM and ask him about his interactions with a couple of local urologists. His take on the locals were in line with mine...negative. It's like this: with a world-class expert like Dr. Kramer a mere 1.5 hour cheap direct flight away from St. Louis to Baltimore on Southwest, why even bother? Please feel free to msg me and I'll be glad to talk with you...here on the forum, or by phone.

I used Dr John McCarthy at St. Lukes. Very pleased with the results.

postra7777 specifically asked for recommendations for surgeon "in the area". Dr. Kramer is NOT in St. Louis and therefore not an acceptable suggestion for him.

When he chooses a surgeon who is in the area, if he wants feedback about his selection, he will ask for it. I am quite certain that not EVERY surgeon in St. Louis is incompetent.

Larry,

Although ccrider didn't answer my question directly his input was very much appreciated. Although I live in St. Louis, I never considered to travel to find a physician who is the very best at these things. Ccrider simply just suggested that I be open to other options. I have contacted him privately as suggested.

That would be correct Larry. I understand your aversion to "advertising" for one of The Big Three, but I have to say that your heavy-handed response was uncalled for. There are some excellent surgeons here...St. Louis is one of the premiere destinations in the world for medical procedures. There are also a few here who tend to be unbelievably arrogant...both Alibaba and myself have compared notes.

I don’t understand why a simple comment made by Larry has been taken out of proportion. He was, as anyone on this forum, expressing his opinion, which I do agree with, BTW.
54 years old, happily married for 30 years to a beautiful & outstanding lady. Onset ED at 49. Finally fixed on 11/08/2017 by the master Dr. Eid with a Titan XL 26, no RTEs! Previously had 3 AMS implants (LGX & CX), all botched.

Insofar as Larry is the moderator, it certainly didn’t sound like an opinion to me...I’m not going to make a career out of it, but I didn’t appreciate somebody telling me that my response was “unacceptable”...

Thanks Plumber. There is a growing number of members who are, quite frankly, sick of hearing about the big two... I don't know who the third is. Yes, they may be awesome surgeons but, not everybody are gunna jump on a plane and go see Kramer or Eid. Some people, me for one, will drive a fair distance to get implanted but, that's because there is nobody here that does it. I am completely baffled why people don't recommend a great cardiologist but, look just south of the belly button and you must jump on a plane to Baltimore... strange :)
