Re: Hello from a newbie!
Thank you for all your help. The guy I see is new an young. I have had no testing done. My family doc tried me on Viagra samples last years and I had trouble with it and no luck at all with Cialis. I was able to get into see this guy pretty fast when I requested to see a urologist.

Please follow some of the links posted on this forum or do your own search on YouTube for "trimix injections." Watch as many videos as you can, particularly those posted by medical professionals. I doubt you'll see any medical professionals using one needle to withdraw the medication from the vial and then changing the tip to a second needle to perform the injection.
Also talk to a pharmacist at a drug store. Tell the pharmacist you have a prescription for an inject-able drug to treat ED. The pharmacist can tell you about needles with a longer tip and others with smaller tips. The length of the needle can affect comfort. A longer needle can penetrate too far into your penis and cause pain or bleeding.
Again, talk to a pharmacist or other medical professional to choose the right needle for injecting. You'll see needle choice discussed by some of the medical professionals in the YouTube videos.
Keep talking with your doctor as well. If you are not satisfied with your progress do not be afraid to request switching to a urologist with deep experience in injections. A doctor with a long history of treating patients with Trimix can have you injecting properly with good results in just a month or two. When I started I also had a rookie doc and it took freaking forever for me to achieve success. Things got better only after I'd read comments from guys here on Franktalk and then discuss issues with my doc. Please be proactive with your treatment and you'll find faster satisfaction.
Good luck and keep us posted.

I've tried everything -- pills, injections pumps -- and now I am at the final frontier.

But that's what I have and what my single page instruction sheet said to do. Maybe the stuff on top of my bottle needs the 22 gauge needle to go through it. Maybe the pharmacy (only one in town that makes trimix) uses those tops so they can sell the extra needles. I don't care as long as it works. The price is still much lower than pills. It was under $100 for the 5ml bottle and 10 syringes with 10 extra needles.
And yes there is a bit of improvement. But like they say close only counts in hand grenades and horseshoes. And I am not even close yet. I may have to wait to call around tomorrow on syringes. Tomorrow is a non injection day anyway.
Wow, I don't think I'd like to use a 22 gauge needle for penile injections.
My T injection needles are 25 gauge.
If you have a Walmart pharmacy around you, they sell smaller diameter needles.
I guess I'm assuming you're in the US?
The 22 are for drawing solution from the bottle only. The 27 comes off and the 22 goes on for drawing. After the dose is correct I switch back to the 22 to inject. Must be some tough stuff on the top of the bottle. Anyway sorry I edited that and left out important information.
Yes I am in the US. I have a Walgreens close, Walmart, Kroger, CVS, I will contact the place that mixed my solution about what they have and the reason for the 22 to draw solution.
Now I get it. BTW, I don't have a problem drawing out the solution with the 29 gauger. I'd guess most of the containers are pretty standard.

Re: Hello from a newbie!
I agree: using one needle tip to withdraw the meds from the vial and another needle tip to inject the meds makes no sense. I would ask a lot of questions about that--of both the doc who prescribed it and the pharmacy that compounded it.

I have a slight dull pain with bimix also. Now I take 2 extra strength Tylenol 1/2 hr before injecting. I can tolerate 5 units of tri and need that much mixed with the bi to get a useable enjoyable erection. The PGE-1 does the heavy lifting is why I use a small dose of trimix with the bimix.
My mix is Trimix 2 22.5/0.5/0.0083 Is that the stuff you are using? I saw a post that outlined Trimix 1,2,3, and 4 ratio's of the 3 meds and all were way higher than this bottle I have. Pretty sure this guy is really starting me off low as he has limited history from me.

Re: Hello from a newbie!
Let's face it, life is not fair. There are folks in the medical field that have a dislike for this. The pharmacy that mixes my Trimix is a group that would not mix trimix if they did not have to. I do believe that. They use a really tough top to the bottle and if I tried to draw with a 27 or 30 gauge needle it would damage the needle and most likely I would not be able to get it to even go through. So I need the 22's to get the stuff out of the bottle. If that is a win for them and they can take care of me other wise I can live with. I went up there and did get 10 more syringes. 10 22 gauge and 10 30 gauge needles. First I went to Walgreens and they looked and tried to help me until they found out it was not for testosterone and was for Trimix. Told me to go away and check somewhere else. Ok so I went to Walmart. They said I needed a script for the needles. I had the label for Trimix but nope. I needed one for the syringes. When I called the pharmacy that mixes my Trimix and asked for 30 gauge needle's I was told I the 30's wouldn't go through to deliver the solution. They did have the 30's so I made the long drive up after striking out at Walgreens and Walmart. I meet a person that was nice and went to the back and spent a lot of time and found the items. Now to get a script from my doc for syringes if he will give me one for other than that pharmacy. 50 cents a set is the cost through them for the syringe and 2 needles. A little over $5 with tax for 10. Just have to see if Walmart can get them.

I remember my doc told me to take notes. But I can remember how much I took and which side I used last time I just had to look and I could see. And that was another suggestion for me to take notes. So dose the uro ask to see your notes? Is there a form somewhere to fill out every time you inject give the uro information they need? Sorry but the light bulb on this note this is not turning on for me.

There are lots of good reasons for keeping some kind of injection log. If you spend several years on trimix, your dosage may change over time. Or your uro may put you on a different formula. Costs may change, too, and it's nice to have a record of that stuff. In my case, I've had to increase the dosage over the past two years. Next time I see the doc I'm going to ask him for a stronger formula — and I'll be able to tell him exactly when I went from 10 units to 13 to 16 to 20 to 24, so that he can see the progression of what's been going on with me.
There's a sample of my notes below. FYI, my drill is that I keep my vial frozen, thaw it once a week and fill three or four syringes, which are kept in the fridge, not the freezer. You'll see that reflected in my notes. Also a running total of my injections since the very beginning. The notes may not make perfect sense to you, but you'll get the idea. The "batches" mentioned are packets of syringes.

Thank you. So far it is easy for me. Every other day I just increase by .05 and inject. I will start keeping a log.
