What age is to old?

Postby rancherejim » Mon Dec 18, 2017 12:08 am

How old is to old to get an implant? I'm 77 and just as horny as when I was 16. I would give anything to be able to have sex on a daily basis again. I'm only good for once a week now. My ED started at about 65 and has just got worse with time. Good health with everything else. My wife is not expected to live more than a couple more years, I won't get married again but I still want sex on a regular basis.
I guess my question is is 80 to old for a implant and will it work on a body that old for a few years. Has anyone else had any experience with that? Thank you for any experiences that you may have to offer.
77 years old, married 58 years. Had ED for the last 10 years or so.
May 2nd, 2018 Coloplast Titan implanted, 24cm with 1cm RTE's. All went well so far.

I think it is great you are interested in an implant and hope and pray my horniness is still string at your age. There are a number of older implanted guys here. I don't know why you shouldn't get an implant, but ask your Urologist.

Best wishes,
Greg
I am 64 and had ED from a VL. Implanted by Dr. Ronald Anglade in Atlanta on 9/18/17. I have an AMS700LGX 21 cm via a Penoscrotal incision. Very happy with results. 6" soft and 6 3/4” x 5 5/8” hard.

I think it would be a question of your over all health. Can all your other systems and parts handle the stress of long periods of sex? If you are a Jaba de hut type that never moves more than likely not a good choice, but if you are still active possible. Like Greg said talk to you Dr.

Based on your userid am guessing you are still active on the ranch

I know a guy in his 90s who got an implant (his health was good enough for surgery, obviously), and he didn't have a sex partner. He just did it in order to feel like a complete man again. (He didn't want to be one of "those guys.")

I agree with Hturner. If you are going to get one, do it sooner than later. I got mine when I was 76 and we both love it.

I was at an ED seminar last week put on by my urologist. I was asked to comment about implants. There was an 89 year old man there who made an appointment to schedule being implanted.
Became DaveKell 2.0 on July 18th with Dr. Allen Morey in Dallas, TX. AMS 700 CX implant. 18cm with 5.5 RTE's.

Eighty years old isn't too old for an implant. I read somewhere that Dr. Kramer, one of the most renowned penile implant surgeons, will take patients up to the age of 90. At your age you're still a slam-dunk for the surgery if you're in relatively good health aside from the ED. You should go for it, for sure.
I've tried everything -- pills, injections pumps -- and now I am at the final frontier.
