Day 15

Postby Spikepork » Sun Dec 24, 2017 5:57 am

So I'm on day 15 post op. No pain as such but my new extra ball aches a lot and feels like it's pressing upwards. Just a constant ache. No pain as such. Hoping it will settle down soon. Anyone had this from the bionic brotherhood?

Were you told to pull your pump down. Are you still icing and resting?

Trying to rest as much as possible. Haven't been told to pull the pump down? Perhaps I should try that??

Hugh,
Not all guys need to pull the pump down. In my case it sits low in my sac and the tubing keeps it from moving upward. I asked my doc about pulling down after reading so any comments here about it and he said it was not necessary.

I am 64 and had ED from a VL. Implanted by Dr. Ronald Anglade in Atlanta on 9/18/17. I have an AMS700LGX 21 cm via a Penoscrotal incision. Very happy with results. 6" soft and 6 3/4” x 5 5/8” hard.

Cheers gregg. Any feedback and thoughts especially when it's from this who have been through this procedure is so beneficial. There's no real way to no what to expect and each person has a different experience. At 15 days post op I feel fine other than a dull bit lasting ache where the pump is. Don't feel that me pulling on it is a good plan at this stage. Will just continue to take it easy and sit and relax as much as possible. And take some pain relief.

I like your plan.

That is what I felt, too, at about 1 week through even today, but less and less every single day.

I can hardly feel it now after almost 2 months, but if I poke around a bit, I can feel some tenderness, still.

At one to two weeks I started poking (gently) around my scrotum to see where things lay. Too much poking did increase the discomfort, but it was mentally comforting to be able to discern the reduction in swelling.

I think you are doing just fine. Congratulations.

Thanks for your reassurance Lostsheep. This forum is so very important for all of us going through this phase after surgery. Otherwise we are fairly alone with nobody to discuss concerns etc with. As you say I'm feeling a little better each day. Might just be small steps but the huge gains later are worth it. Cheers brother.

For those of us with implants, it's important to remember our new third nut was shoved somewhere it wasn't really intended to be. I am no medical expert but have to think when it was inserted into our scrotums it likely tore at some tissues and is rubbing against things that are not liking its presence. If we were in there we would probably be aching too. Inmost cases the ache diminishes in time and the new normal begins.
