I believe the explanation is that you mis-heard or misunderstood these Doctors.

I encourage you to ask any one of the Doctors who told you to expect your sexual drive to diminish to speak directly to this question; Can I expect my sex drive to be less after the implant? Not my erectile ability, but my desire for sex.

I expect the answer(s) will clear up your concern completely.

If there are no implantation complications then this seems like repetitive negative thoughts/trains of thought akin to depression and anxiety. These trains of thought can be very damaging if not addressed by developing coping mechanisms independently or pursuing professional treatment.

Peyronie's: 6 months, indents cause loss of 0.5 inches of girth, fibrosis growing, caused ED.
ED: 10mg Cialis daily, getting headaches, not interested in VED/injections.
Considering implant to avoid a lifetime of cialis and to correct deformity.

i am only expressing what I know about implants and what I am experiencing with my own. I have seen no man on here post a pic of his "better than before" penis. I have not seen one man explain penile size and show real penile size with a ruler. A before and after pic would suffice. I have not seen any man on here boast or brag about his new large bionic love muscle. I have already talked to three women already, not telling them I had one, and each one told me they would have NO interest in being with a guy with a pumped up penis. They said it would take away all the excitement for them................getting a man sexually excited, watching his penis grow, feeling it throb, etc. Fellas that shit ain't happening no more after an implant. I wish people on online chat would just tell the truth, and not try to make others think of unrealistic goals. I know what my doctor and others have told me about the sensations, urges and whatever else i need to know about it.

I get what you’re saying man but with all due respect, those are some weak-ass, superficial, inhumane women you know. I’ve asked more women and none of them said they would care, as long as it worked and if they loved them, what does it matter - the man can still function. We live in an imperfect world and this is a solution for many men. So please stop being so negative about it, dude. They make broken penises work again. The sensation should remain the same. Length loss is common but with good surgeons, limited. With cycling it can improve further. Most importantly though, they give back a man his confidence and ability. And any woman that can’t love a man just because he’s gone through something tragic, is a piece of shit anyway and not a woman I’d certainly want to be with long term.
37, mild to moderate ED since age 21, 3 Dopplers - 1 result VL & 3 later results 'no physical problem', dependent on cialis (efficacy now waning), overcame Lymophoma at age 26, ED causing immense/profound psychological distress. Considering implant.

reallynow48,
I believe success with anything in life comes from a positive attitude and hope. You seem to have none of either. I had ED for 30 years and was told it was in my head. I never gave up hope or looking for a way to overcome it.

You say you were told you would never have natural feelings and sensations again after implant. My surgeon said just the opposite. My surgeon never promised me a big penis. All he said is he was confident it would be similar to my pre-implant stretched flaccid length. When I saw it for the first time after surgery it was partially pumped and was that length so I figured the doc was right and that would be my size. Now, after several months of healing it is almost 1 1/2" longer and that is simply from getting it fully pumped. I still can potentially get a longer penis over time with use and cycling.

You say there are no pix here showing this. Look up my posts. I have shown quite a few pix from before and after. You say no women want a guy with an implant. Ready Dustyknox posts about women he had great sex with and they did not even know he had an implant. Now he found a woman he wants more that a one night stand with and told her and she is supportive and grateful he shared the news with her.

You just seem defeated and as long as you are I don't see much hope for change. There is a phrase, "mind over matter" and I think you can help yourself by looking for positivity. I wouldn't be surprised if when you asked women about their feelings on implants you made it sound so horrible they would be fools to say it would. Be OK.

I hope you will see another doctor, possibly go to therapy, and look for all of the highly positive results here at FT that you apparently have missed. When I logged on here the first time I saw both positive and negative comments, but chose to focus on the positive and it got me excited about my potential future. Now I am living the life I dreamed about. For you to say we have to prove something to you is ridiculous. If you want to continue with your "woe is me" attitude, you are doing yourself a huge disservice. Go after what you want rather than finding excuses.

Not trying to be negative. I have not found one thing positive about a penile implant, yet. JBO

why isn't anyone sporting their new found bionic wood, if it is all its cracked up to be?

Wouldn't you be proud to show it off?

Reallynow48,
You say no guys have ever posted pix showing their before and after results. I tried to respond to your private message request but for some reason my pix would not upload. I am proud of my results so I figured I would post here where I can respond to you, but other guys can see my results, too.

The 5" photo was taken when I could still achieve a natural erection. My hard cock was originally 6.5" but long term ED and age took its toll and I experienced a lot of shrinkage. The 6" photo shows my dick fully pumped at 3 months post-op.

I am just 1/2" from being back to my original length and my surgeon is confident I should regain that much from cycling and use. I am thrilled with my implant, size results and renewed sex life. Sure I wish it was bigger, but I love just being able to get rock hard like a teenage boy. All is good.
