Hi all,
I picked up my first trimix script and have my injection teaching session with my URO on Friday. The formula he started me on is 16.7/.56/5.6 with 25 units as the starting dose and increase by 10 units on next dose if not effective.
Any advice for Friday? Questions I should ask, etc? I’m not really sure what to expect. I’ve read lots of posts on the topic but seems like everyone’s experience is different. I’ll post my experience after my appointment.

Relax, be optimistic, realize there may well be some trial and error. Don't let the error part of trial and error discourage you. Realize, if you haven't yet, that other people including young female assistants, seeing or examining your private parts is just a fact of life now so don't worry about it anymore. Just let that shyness go out the window. Sit there proudly while exposed. Try to enjoy your journey of discovery. Have a good sense of humor about it all. Getting a good laugh in the doctors office while going through it all is always good. Remember, like cops, most medical professionals who have been at it for a while have a warped humor. Go with it. When I was first given a script for Edex the old battle axe nurse advised me that it wouldn't matter if I was looking at a herd of cows I'd get an erection. I suggested to her that "wouldn't sheep be more appropriate?" Her reply was "Whatever works for you".
I know that wasn't exactly what you were asking but thats my advice. Have a good lighthearted attitude and be optimistic and realize shyness and privacy is gone forever.
Oh yeah, pain should be minimal so don't sweat that.

Hi Jeff,
Good luck! You'll develop questions for your urologist after you start injecting. Hopefully you'll be one of the lucky ones and develop a great, 90-minute erection right out of the box. One who used to post here developed such a boner on his teaching appointment that he and his wife checked into a nearby hotel minutes after leaving the doctor's office.
Let us know how things go for you.

I've tried everything -- pills, injections pumps -- and now I am at the final frontier.

My trial run they gave me an "adult magazine" after they injected me and left the room. That was useless. Massaging the injected penis like it's a water baloon and you're trying to get water evenly distributed works much better.
Married, 66 yrs old, ED for 22 yrs. On TriMix for 5 yrs. Live in the Adirondacks of NY. Would be a nudist if it weren't for the black flies and the short summers.

I have mild post RARP ED. Cialis use is not quite getting me a 10/10 erection.
Opted for trimix. Had two Urologist supervised injections of 0.2ml and 0.4ml (NO cialis for 2 days before injections). Neither produced a 10/10 erection.
Urologist recommended 0.5ml for my first trial at home... I instead used 0.45ml; It produced a 12/10 3 hour erection without pain...took 60mg pseudophed, walked and ate hearty meal (also had sex!!).
Bottom line LESSON here is that injections in an office vs. at home with my nude sexy wife are NOT COMPARABLE!!
Start LOW DOSE at home and titrate up...it's much safer! You will enjoy the results ultimately.
