Let's all agree. ED is a devastating, humiliating condition. Three are numerous ways to deal with it. If pills, muse, shots, acupuncture, hypnosis, injections, or vacuum pumps work for you. Thatsvawesome! We should be happy for each other. When none of these, (Didn't try acupuncture or hypnosis) work for you. An implant is your only solution. While there is a risk involved, and there are no guarantees, most implanted men, including yours truly, are very very happy with the results. This is not the place, nor is it your mission in life, to tell another brother how he should treat his ED. Implantees are here to guide you along the way, give comfort, support , or positive advice, to those of you who are where we were. Please feel free to ask any questions. We are here for each other.
Your bionic brother,
Donnie

Agree 100%. If anything I've posted suggests otherwise, then I didn't say it correctly.
Born 1948, wed 1969. BPH & Type II Diabetes at age 35. TURP-2002; ED even before that--diabetes. Cardiac valve surgery: 2007 & 2019. Poor results with pills. Started trimix injections in Nov, 2010. Great results from the very beginning.

Re: ED is Not a Competition
Donnie, a nice sentiment. If you don't object I'd like to elaborate.
100% agree!
Mostly agree but it's an individual decision and options include a lifestyle that doesn't include coitus or sexual climax. Implants aren't an option for everyone for a variety of reasons both physical, mental and financial.
100% agree and I've very happy for you that your experience has been so wonderful.
Can I agree 200%?
I agree, but with the caveat that although someone may be, or appear to be where you (the implantee) were, it isn't a given that they will ever need to be where you are. What may have been an unavoidable progression to an ultimate solution for one person is not proof that the same conclusion is the unavoidable fate of another person. And I don't think it's helpful to state or give that impression.
However, there is no doubt that many of those who are implantees do have a lot of valuable experience that should be shared with those using other methods of dealing with their ED.
Yes, agreed and hopefully always true.
I realize that I may eventually require an implant if my other ED solutions fail before the rest of me does. If that's the case I'll be reading all of the posts in the Implant sub-forum I've been passing over (and probably doing a reverse mortgage). I hope that's not necessary, although I'll take that over the option of the rest of me failing early.

bldoink,
While I appreciate your elaboration, please consider that this is my heartfelt opinion and one that comes from experience. Not advice. In my opinion, if no other methods to get and keep a hard dick work satisfactorily , the implant is the only solution left. Scarry , I'll admit, but the only permanent (they may be revisions) left. Thank God for the Implant!

Donnie,
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and feelings. Like you I resorted to an implant because nothing else worked. I was tired of feeling down because my dick didn't want to do what my head was telling it to do.
I wholeheartedly agree we should all be here for each other and support our brothers. All of us need to keep in mind we are all different and there is not a one size fits all answer for ED. Even when we choose the same treatment, we can experience different results. We all need to give each other the benefit of the doubt that we are being truthful. Just because someone's statement is very different from our own situation doesn't mean it isn't their own reality.
I am happy to help any of you in any way I can.
Greg

Re: ED is Not a Competition
Thanks to FT I discovered pumping as a great way to deal with my ED. However, there were some down sides (desensitization. Time constraints, etc), after a year of reading about injections, I finally took the plunge into injecting which turned out to be a much better option. Now that injecting is no longer effective, I am starting to consider an implant, but since my VED is still a viable option, it will take a lot of reading and discussion before I make a final decision.

Re: ED is Not a Competition
I used a. Pos T Vac erection pump. After my Radiation treatment for prostate cancer the VED still worked. I needed two tension rings to keep it hard and talking one ring off over a still erect dick was not a pleasant experience. The VED kept me so tight my dick looked like a purple brick. My wife hated it. She said it hurt and rarely had an orgasm. I talked to my Uro and he agreed I was ready for an implant. The rest is history.I have never been happier with the incredible results.
