New here

Postby needhelp » Tue Jan 09, 2018 12:14 pm

I'm mid thirties and am struggling.

Most of the time I can get morning wood - but that dies off quickly and then its limp for the rest of the day. I feel like it doesn't hang the same and is pulled in more and shriveled than I can remember. This has been going on for almost a year now so its hard to remember what's normal. Self stimulation and being with a girl are both a struggle - can't really get it up. On my last recent physical everything seems okay. I have a normal BMI, no diabetes, cholesterol in the normal range. I had T-levels checked and I was 450. Doc said things look okay and due to being able to get morning wood he doesn't think anything is wrong. He offered a prescription to a pill - which I declined as I'm not in a relationship right now, and I don't really want to be medicine dependent. Would it even help in my situation? Would other supplements help?

This is really frustrating. I'm currently single and dating scares me due to my situation as I don't want to get caught of my unability to perform.

I'm not a medical professional of any kind. What I post is only my layman opinion and isn't medical advice.

If you don't have an actual urologist you should get one.

I'd call your doctor back and get the pills. They can help keep blood flowing to that thing and help with cranking one off now and then. You want to keep it from atrophy if you hope to ever use it. Use it or lose it.

I totally agree with this. Urologists specialize in matters having to do with that part of the body, so they know more about it. Good luck, brother.

needhelp,
There is strength in numbers so I am going to add my name to the others who have suggested a Urologist. Your primary care doctor did not do any specific tests, such as a Penile Doppler, to determine the problem. Until you have those results, you really have no idea what is going on.

Dear Friend,
This is not criticism, but on honest opinion and advise.

You might have an ED issue, but sounds like you have a broader sexuality issue. What I mean is why would you feel sexually excited if there is no woman in your life at least potentially. Libido and sexual excitement is mainly mental unless there is some physical or hormonal isssue.

Look into your life: are you watching porn? This can be detrimental to your natural approach towards sex and women. Do you expose yourself to potentially finding a mate or dies that fill you with anxiety.

Alongside exploring the possibility of physiological problems cost attention to your lifestyle too. You are gonna need it once you get your penis working one way or another.

All the best!

Please create a signature. It makes things much easier to answer your questions without asking a lot of questions. Here's how you do it
Click on your name in the top right corner and select "user control panel"

Then under the big letters "User Control Panel" there is a row of words... select "Profile"

Then down the left had side of the "User Control Panel" select "Edit Signature" (You might have Create Signature or something. I don't know exactly what you'll get because I already have a signature to edit)

Most guys put something like what I have, but you can put whatever you want. Here is mine -
"AMS 700 (18 + 2 rte's). Implanted March 30, 2017 by Dr. Brock of London, Ont, CANADA. Great surgeon. Went in to septic shock and had to have implant removed April 29, 2017. I'm from Belleville, Ontario, CANADA. Appt. for consult for second attempt is on November 6, 2017... I can't wait."

Don't get too carried away with the doctor like his name, address, phone number, etc (anything that looks like advertising for him).. you can certainly say Dr. Jones (great Dr.)

If you need further help, please ask, that's what I'm here for.

Some medicine is AWESOME. I personally have so many health problems it's depressing. Over the last few years, my libido has diminished to the point where I couldn't care less if I ever have sex again, and wouldn't ya know, my wife is in her sexual prime and would be quite content. My urologist gave me a script for Androgel. That shit is like a jelly that smells like rubbing alcohol and gets all over your clothes and you smell like an alcohol prep pad all the time AND it wasn't working. Then he prescribed an injectable testosterone every three works (Delatestryl). OMG, that shit works wonders. I know ED can be very embarrassing for young men, and everyone is going to tell you to be up front with your female friends ;). If you are serious about one (or more) of them, honestly the best thing that you can do for your relationship is tell her everything for two big reasons; a) she will understand before anything happens that, if you can't get it up, it's NOT their fault and it does NOT mean that you are not attracted to them (and they will feel that way if you don't tell them). AND b) if you tell them everything, you can make them feel GREAT buy telling them that you are doing all this for them... (girls love that shit). Good luck and keep your chin up. You will be great. :)

Hello New here, welcome. Just my thoughts, if you are waking up or are awear of erections either in the morning or while you sleep, that would indicate to me that it is not likely a physical issue. I'm not a medical professional though. I know for me I lost "morning wood" 25 years ago. That was a second symptom to a slow gradual loss of firmness to my erections about 30 years ago. I may be an exception to others experience. Anyway, we are here to support you. Vegas
