VED on implant

Postby Donnie1954 » Wed Jan 10, 2018 10:12 am

We'll slap me and call me Gracie. I have been told by a very qualified source that VED can be used for post operative therapy. Never aggressively but it gently sucks the penis aiding in stretching to pre opp size. If your dick is gently sucked on a regular basis a VED is not necessary. It can be used with common sense if a partner is not available. I though the vacuume would harm the implant. Some urologists are saying that gentle sucking of a VED is safe. Use a VED with very light pressure and common sense. The decision to use one is yours.

I started a thread around last summer regarding this very same topic. My question was to the FT brothers if this was a widespread procedure suggested by your surgeons. And the question was based on the fact that I know through a patient of one of the high-volume implant that he does suggest it to his patients, without official disclaimer since it can void the warranty. Also, I heard it from one of many surgeons I visited in between two of my surgeries, even though I did not use him for my revision.

Just curious, what does the VED provide you that the aggressive cycling won't?

Based on what I was explained, the theory is that by stretching your penis tissue, it will facilitate the cylinders to fill the cavernosas, hence accelerating the dimensions expansion. I have not done it since I was never able to corroborate its appropriateness.

Then there are two threads on the subject from last year. I started one asking if a little vacuum might make inflation a little easier. From a purely hydraulic standpoint it makes sense. But even just a little excess vacuum carries risk of hematoma, abcess and separation of your tissues from the implant or even tearing of the pseudocapsule surrounding the implant. That would which carripy a risk of infection. (One study I read found a high portion of of implants removed for revisions had a biofilm on the implant but this biofilm was contained/isolated and made essentially safe/inert by the pseudocapsule of scar tissue surrounding the implant. I wonder if a VED might possibly tear the pseudocapsule and risk growth of the bacteria of the biofilm infecting the patient.

Lots to think about and very little research on this subject.

On the other hand , a VED would engorge the spongiosum, which the implant does not help at all. An engorged glans is a big help for sex.

LostSheep got it all. Not worth the risk. If you want to engorge the glans, take Viagra or Cialis.

Gentlemen, do not take it lightly, any infection there is very very serious and scary as hell. I'm very happy I've a functioning penis that can be activated anytime anyplace. With the return of the lost libido, your glans will come back.
