I understand
Stay with the pills as long as you can
As far as the Doppler. Depends on who does it. They may have missed something.
I had it done 3X got 2 totally different results. The 3rd time was a bit like 2nd time. But barely. After the excuses I heard maybe getting 3-4 dopplers and see what the result that comes up more often and go with that.
Years ago they tried another surgury. Think it was grafting the veins.
It failed.
If pills are still working.
Who knows maybe they find a way to fix it. Less invasive way than implant.
Good luck

Thank you all for your replies.
The mental woes of this, at any age, are just dreadful.
I get very anxious every time I masturbate. Each time is a battle in my mind. Half of the time I’ll fail and then that puts me in the worst mood ever.
I feel truly ‘disconnected’ from my dick.
So I think it would be a good idea for me to stop masturbating until I’m either absolutely gagging for it or am due an encounter. Thoughts on the no-fap?
I have to beat this mental plight.

37, mild to moderate ED since age 21, 3 Dopplers - 1 result VL & 3 later results 'no physical problem', dependent on cialis (efficacy now waning), overcame Lymophoma at age 26, ED causing immense/profound psychological distress. Considering implant.
Re: HUGE Decision / Your Advice
I’d try the no fap. Intercourse only. Try with call girls.

defiant wrote:Hello my brothers,
I have just come from the beautiful offices of Dr David Ralph in London, following one night's worth of NPT study.
NPT is Nocturnal Penile Tumescence for those that don't know and is a device that ties around the base and tip of your member and monitors activity overnight to give an indication as to penile health and potential leaks.
(A healthy male has several erections overnight while in deep sleep).
First, my history once more:
- Bad experience of erection loss at 21
- Became a 'spectator' of my own erections henceforth
- Declining ability until 26
- Got cancer, beat cancer
- Urologists ran Doppler scan at 27 - 'mild venous leak' diagnosed - general, not isolated.
- Prescribed Cialis, amazing effect - became dependent
- Sought second opinion with Andrologist John Dean - Doppler again - this time, NO leak identified
- Sought third Andrologist Mr Kuehas - Doppler again, NO leak
- Psychosexual counselling advised, dependence on Cialis now complete
- Tried counselling, no avail
- Masturbation now hard to complete - far too stressed & never use Cialis for just masturbation
- Each failure reinforces the belief
- Fed up, sought out the IMPLANT expertise of Dr Ralph
- Dopplers not deemed necessary by him, NPT testing requested
- NPT done
- Psychiatry commenced w/ Wellbutrin (a mood elevating drug with reported sexual benefits as opposed to the usual adverse effects)
- Now I'm here.
NPT Results:
- Slept 8 hours
- 5 confirmed episodes of penile activity
- Each lasting 20-30 minutes
- All reaching 80% hardness (100% being "cast-iron solid")
- Diagnosis: Venous Leakage impossible. Normal erectile function.
So here I am.
This was the best result I could have hoped for in that my years-old query over leak vs. no leak is now settled. I take heart from this. But my mind is very, very ill. And my belief systems have created a 'SYMPATHETIC overactivity' and profound complex around erections.
I can never just 'lose' myself, brothers. I am critically dependent upon Cialis.
Mr Ralph is aware of how long I've been battling this and he is willing to implant me and even more kindly, on the NHS (our free health service). His and indeed my justification is, how long can a man put up with this? Indeed, it truly is a mind-body process.
So, gentleman, do you have any advice for me in this matter?
I cannot stress enough just HOW IMPORTANT the relationship between the mind and the penis is. It may as well be profound venous leakage at times.
My plan is to continue with this psychiatry that I've just commenced and try one last time with a partner who I hope will be the love of my life, very understanding and someone with whom I can work with in conjunction with the mood elevation, meditation, psychiatry and every tool in the box.
If that fails, I will take the pragmatic approach and seek the implant.
So sorry for the lengthy post but all information is pertinent when asking for advice.
Thank you, brothers.

Welcome to the site and know that you are not alone with these symptoms, questions, problems.
We all have these issues to a varying degree.
The physical issues create a world of stressful psychological issues
I wrote an introduction post you can find in my profile... But here are some words about me:
I'm 33 and moderately healthy (sedentary lifestyle but still 6' and 185lbs so not overweight just soft lol)
Never knew of any physical issues with my dick. No visible peyronies, or prostate cancer etc.
No chronic physical illness or physical problem that would indicate I should have ED.
Have used cialis or viagra since I was 20. First for fun, then more frequently to keep a solid erection.
Over time I felt the medication worked less and less. Finally with a steady girlfriend I live with, I found sexual stimulation became difficult.
I could self-stimulate pretty well, but it would go away quickly if I wasn't focused on just the right pressure and friction.
Same with sex. If the position didn't work for me, I would go soft.
Lack of erection control, lead to diminished interest in sex.
Thought it was low testosterone but tests came back fine.
Went to a urologist who felt peyronies in my shaft (although no curve to speak of) which he indicated could cause venous leakage.
This was all word of mouth and his physical touch. He did NOT perform any doppler or other tests on me.
I asked that he submit a surgery request to my insurance. To see if there was an prior authorization they would want from him.
They didn't need any. I was covered. My surgery was covered(after my deductible of $3000 was reached).
I can still get a moderate erection. Enough to penetrate my gf. But it's short lived. She doesn't cum.
I feel worse. She can see that I try hard, but always come up short and I'm very hard on myself.
The cialis, viagra, only make me feel flush and don't work well enough.
I see so many guys on here that are 40, 50 or 60 and they say they've struggled with ED since their 30's.
They say the implant is the best thing they ever did and wish they had done it sooner....
I knew that this wouldn't get better on its own and I sure as hell didn't want to wait 10, 20, or 30 years for good sexual performance again!
I decided it was time for an implant. While it's a huge step, and it will be painful and take time to get used to, I'm ready for the next chapter of my sex life
Nobody has the exact answer for when it's right for you. You have to be comfortable and ready for it.
I might miss the natural feeling of a partial erection or morning wood... I might miss the feeling of being engorged by my own blood in my own vessels.
But having a fully functioning, on demand penis? It's something I've always wanted and never had.
The confidence will be overwhelmingly back in the bedroom (once I heal)
My girlfriend has suggested threesomes and I've been too worried on account of my poorly performing unit.
I'll be more open to sexual adventures once my bionic dick gets installed!
February 6th is the day!
Cheers,
