I understand completely! I had tremendous assistance from my surgeon Dr T.S. Hakky in Atlanta. I had a lot make that LOT of issues with my penis, fibrosis, peyrones as well as immune system problems. He sat with me like a friend and spent as much time as I needed to make my decision. In fact we ended up calling my wife to give her the option of longer or thicker. I went with Coloplast and I AM SOOOOOO HAPPY WITH EVERY ASPECT OF MY SURGERY AND IMPLANT. I love what Hakky did for me and I have no doubts that I made the correct decision. BTW Dr Hakky is in his late 30s I think. Cool guy and even said Stan “you can call it your dick! I have one too lol”. One of this PE’s in his office is about your age and has an implant. His name is Brian. If you need more help we can talk . Just let me know. I had my implant 4 months ago.:)

YES! I'm embarrassed to say I've been on this site for 7 years. Yes years. I have about 10 files on my laptop with different topics such as Dating and Sex/Before Surgery/After Surgery. It is a lot of paper to printout. Then I go through everything and do some edits. My signature admits to this.

You are ready when you are ready. Some people never go to college. Some people start at 18. Some start at 60.

I understand where you are coming from. I used to stay up all night reading threads here on FT. I was a patient of Dr Lue as well. He is a great doc, but can be very conservative. Wanting to try every other procedure and exhaust each and every option before implant. Which can be good, but also can waste time. I’d say hang in there, give it some time.

Geo,

Here are my 3 mantras: (1) "This is not an acceptable outcome." Say that over and over again to your medical team until you all come up with a solution that works. (2) Start with the least invasive remedy and move deliberately to the more invasive. (3) I am not a doctor. We do not give medical advice here; we share our experiences. Don't make any life changing medical decision without listening to your doctor. If you don't like what she says, try another one.

I daresay those principles apply to ALL medical care and certainly to Erectile Dysfunction. But for your Peyronie's, I'd repeat them to you. I would guess Trimix (or other) injections might be a good step up from pills and headaches, but I'm not aware of any treatment that remedies Peyronie's other than an implant. But that is a primo question to ask the doc. "Is there any treatment other than an implant that will correct this?" I'm not sure that's information you have right now.

There are any number of young guys on this site who have opted for implants at a very young age. The ones I have spoken to and corresponded with have all reported great success. I'm hoping more of them might do some posts. You might also ask your medical team if any of their implant patients, esp younger men, would be willing to speak with you.

As far as I know, the only issue with getting an implant when you're so young is the likelihood that it will need to be replaced any number of times over your lifetime. Frankly, I don't see the down side to that. If you get an implant and then report back that you've worn it out in 5 years, I think most guys would give you a high five if not a standing ovation.

Finally, whatever route you choose, know that the guys here at FT are willing to be part of that journey.

Please create a signature. It makes things much easier to answer your questions without asking a lot of questions. Here's how you do it
Click on your name in the top right corner and select "user control panel"

Then under the big letters "User Control Panel" there is a row of words... select "Profile"

Then down the left had side of the "User Control Panel" select "Edit Signature" (You might have Create Signature or something. I don't know exactly what you'll get because I already have a signature to edit)

Most guys put something like what I have, but you can put whatever you want. Here is mine -
"AMS 700 (18 + 2 rte's). Implanted March 30, 2017 by Dr. Brock of London, Ont, CANADA. Great surgeon. Went in to septic shock and had to have implant removed April 29, 2017. I'm from Belleville, Ontario, CANADA. Appt. for consult for second attempt is on November 6, 2017... I can't wait."

Don't get too carried away with the doctor like his name, address, phone number, etc (anything that looks like advertising for him).. you can certainly say Dr. Jones (great Dr.)

If you need further help, please ask, that's what I'm here for.

I have the same issue as you. Peyronies/penile deformity/fibrosis.

I gave up going to Urologists because they don't really help in our situation. Gelbard is a true gentleman but unless you have the classic peyronies bend that he can inject xiaflex into he is not gonna help. There is always that line, "I think this will get better over time." Wrong

I've lost 1/2 girth and 1/2 length and take cialis daily plus L-citrulline. Nothing left to do except get an implant but Im constantly researching as well...

Sorry for the misfortune, but you are not alone.

I recommend you never stop researching. I also recommend sharing anything useful or potentially useful to the support group, here. Give back to thw community, and "pay it forward" wherever you can.

Having said that, this caveat: If any activity like obsessing over ED research) interferes with your ability to function as a person, interferes with your interpersonal relations, interferes with your happiness, then youcowe it to yourself and your loved ones to get your attentions in balance.

One way is to let a trusted friend know of your struggle (e,g. soouse, lover, relative, cleric, your God/Higher Power or professional counselor) to lend you some help and persoective.

Continuing research is a good thibg, but not to the ooint of hurting yourself or those around you,
God Bless and strength be with you.

Hello, you might ask dr Lue for another Rx...you might find one that doesn’t cause headaches. Injections work great for most, but for some can aggravate peyronies. Dr Lue can advise. If needed dr Lue will suggest xiaflex. He also supports traction which you could start now. The EDL40 is inexpensive. Good luck, also check out the peyronies forum...like this website but specifically for peyronies.
