Hello, I am new to the forum, although I have been reading for a long time, I am in my 20s and I need an implant.
I am going to have an appointment with a penile implants specialist, and I would like you to advise me what questions should I not forget to ask? Thank you
What should I not forget to ask my surgeon about implants?

Please create a signature. It makes things much easier to answer your questions without asking a lot of questions. Here's how you do it
Click on your name in the top right corner and select "user control panel"
Then under the big letters "User Control Panel" there is a row of words... select "Profile"
Then down the left had side of the "User Control Panel" select "Edit Signature" (You might have Create Signature or something. I don't know exactly what you'll get because I already have a signature to edit)
Most guys put something like what I have, but you can put whatever you want. Here is mine -
"AMS 700 (18 + 2 rte's). Implanted March 30, 2017 by Dr. Brock of London, Ont, CANADA. Great surgeon. Went in to septic shock and had to have implant removed April 29, 2017. I'm from Belleville, Ontario, CANADA. Appt. for consult for second attempt is on November 6, 2017... I can't wait."
Don't get too carried away with the doctor like his name, address, phone number, etc (anything that looks like advertising for him).. you can certainly say Dr. Jones (great Dr.)
If you need further help, please ask, that's what I'm here for.

Oh for god sakes... we all know that the questions that you want him to ask, is to see if he or she (in your opinion), is a liar. Every question that "Hereiam" could possibly ask, is answered at least a half a dozen times on Frank Talk. Don't listen to these people that tell you that your doctor has to be. Unless you got your dick in a dick factory, you need a doctor who is well rounded with all types of urological issues, not a robot that does only one thing and despite that, still manages to have people who don't like him or her because he or she makes mistakes. Find a doctor who you like and then start asking around about him or her. There is a pretty good chance that someone on here know about him or her.

You could ask him for the names of patients that he implanted and that are willing to talk on the phone with an inquiring new patient. This forum is immensely helpful, but an actual patient of your surgeon and hospital can be very insightful. I did this and spoke for about an hour with a guy that answered all my questions. He was direct and honest about what I should expect to experience.
Post recovery and looking back, this was one of the most valuable things I did in preparing myself.

I totally agree with that. I had phone conversations with patients of Kramer, Eid, my local doc, and a forum member here at FT. I learned something from everyone, and it made my decision easier.
