Soft jaw pliers for breaking in pump

Postby Dared24 » Sat Feb 17, 2018 4:01 pm

This is probably a very dangerous idea that would end very badly but what are opinions on using pliers with soft padding on the jaws to soften up the pump?

Wouldn’t try it. Try a hot bath.

The problem with a hot bath is it makes my scrotum to slippery so I can't grip the pump. I know someone on here suggested a heating pad I guess that's worth a shot.

Dared,
Do you use place your other hand above the pump so it can’t slip away? I had the same “slippery scrotum” you referred to, but that was all it took to solve the problem.

Guys have talked about pliers with a towel on your nuts. I personally wouldnt try that. Others have put their nuts on the table and pressed down with the palm of your hand. Also not a great option but better than pliers. So as the reasonable guys have stated, warm baths help. To solve the slippery nut problem, use a face towel while in the bath. Put your middle and ring finger on one side of the pump and your palm on the other while holding your pump in the face towel under water. Squeeze slowly. This helps for sure !

Greg,
I cannot reach the tubing only the top part of the pump with the deflate pads and deflate button. I have tried repeatedly to find the tubing so I can grab with one hand and pump with the other as you describe. I believe the pump is too far up on my scrotum and that is the reason I cannot locate the tubing. Trying a heat pad after a hot shower right now then I will try to inflate again.

Also sometimes when trying to exert maximum force on the pump it will slip out of my hand and hit my left ball. My left nut is swollen up for like last three days after each time I attempt to pump.

Dared,
Did your doc suggest pulling down on the pump to anchor it lower in your sac? Mine was already as low as it could go so my doc did not but a lot of guys are supposed to. With regards to the pump, can you get the fingers of the opposite hand just at the top side of the Square part to hold it down when pumping? Or hold the outer edges of the Square part, keeping your hand away from the release valve.

When is your next doctor visit? If not for a while, I would definitely call if you continue to have problems.
