Hi guys,
I'm at the point in my life where I'm seriously thinking of getting an implant but I'm very scared about it.
A little about myself:
I'm 48 years old. For 22 years I've have ED due to strcutural damage from a medication I was on for a month. Anyway, I get morning wood thats semi rigid and lasts only a short time. But there are days that my erections are harder than normal.
Pills stopped working 5 months ago and I havent tried it since. And 4 years ago I had PRP injection which worked wonders. But last Novemebr when i had a 2nd round, it failed to help. In the past I've tried trimix injections and they worked well. But I havent tried injections in a year and a half.
My confidence is completely fu'cking shot. I barely have motivation to go outside and enjoy life. This has gotten me down so much that I've stopped looking for work. When I take girls out I dont progress sexually with them for fear I wont be able to do anything with them. Why do i take them out then? To see if hopefully their prescence might ignite some erectiile spark.
So this is my story. Now I'm seriously considering taking the first daunted step into the crazy world of implants. Here are my questions:
1) Are any of you implanters disappointed youve gotten an implant?
2) Are you guys able to get orgasms consistently?
3) Which implant is best in length and girth?
4) I've seen pics of guys with implants. Many look too short and skinny. Is this a common problem?
5) Whats the maximum length and girth for an implant?
.

Thinking of Getting an Implant.. But Scared!
ED since 1996. Peyronies in 2012. PRP in 2013 and 2017. Dr. Brock, urology, NC, USA. Cialis and Viagra stopped working since 10/2017. Haven't been on Trimix since 3/2016. Will consider injecting it again. Will be prescribed testosterone injections soon.

Read me, Zxy, Bandit, Tangerine, Xomanow, Donnie, Dave Kell to find how much we love our implants.
Size depends on many factors and each of us is different.
Importantly though it’s generally accepted that it’s wise to get an implant before too much atrophy sets in.....it seems once size is lost its problematic restoring it.
Commonly, regardless of brand we seem to all have had good success with regular cycling. This takes place shortly after activation at around 6 weeks post op and continues for 12 months at least.....my doc was correct...some length was restored from that process but more importantly girth noticeably improved.
If you partner genuinely enjoys sex then you are in for the high point of your sex life.... as is she!
An erection that never fails and is attenuable is something to behold for the discerning sex bomb mature woman. Want it harder? Pump to max. A little softer darling? Ease a bit out! Oops too much my angel? 5 quick pumps to perfection
I still ejaculate well.....can take a while and sometimes finish by hand or her mouth but overall I am a much better partner because I am more focussed on her than myself.......I feel great about this.
Oh and maybe it just feels and looks good with a ‘package’ bulging ever so slightly (or obviously if you want it to) in your shorts or skinnies or chinos.
I swim train in speedos but to be honest in Oz nobody ever stares at your ‘goods’...(that maybe an American thing)........so it’s a non issue.
Read widely (I didn’t) watch videos (I didn’t)....and choose your surgeon wisely....I did! It would seem his/her skill level and volume does corellate with successful outcomes.
If you have a normal sized cock, 12 months post op it should be pretty close to what it was beforehand if you choose wisely and follow the advice from your doctor (who, by the way, will know which implant is the correct one for your physiology).... with one exception......it will be harder than it’s ever been in your entire life.....and did I mention reliable?
Hope this helps

1. Hell no, my wife loves it
2. Absolutely
3. How long is a Chinaman... It really depends. That is a question for the doctor BUT, you should not PICK before surgery... only discuss your preferences after reading about them and talking to your doctor about it. Really, that decision should be made after you are out and your surgeon cuts you open. You need to trust your doctor to give you what is best for you, not what you want.
4. Maybe short and skinny if you were before surgery
5. AMS - 21 cm and Titan - 22 cm. Both have 1 cm RTE (rear tip extenders) which is added to make it bigger. Don't pick one because of size... both will be able to be fitted for you easily.
Don't be afraid, we are all here to help. Ask tons of questions and become informed. In the end you will be happy you did it. As I tell everyone, don't worry about size, a 4" erect dick is better than a limp 7" dick.

1) Are any of you implanters disappointed youve gotten an implant?
No fucking way! I love my implant!
2) Are you guys able to get orgasms consistently?
Yes, yes, and yes.
3) Which implant is best in length and girth?
This is a complicated question and cannot be answered by us in this setting, I don't think.
4) I've seen pics of guys with implants. Many look too short and skinny. Is this a common problem?
"Short and skinny" is a relative term. All penises are not long and fat; most are combinations of those terms and -- as far as I know -- unless you have an identical twin, no two guys will have penises that look exactly alike.
5) Whats the maximum length and girth for an implant?
Again, too complicated a question for us to answer here at FT. A doctor can tell you depending on your anatomy, body build, etc.

Re: Thinking of Getting an Implant.. But Scared!
My confidence is completely fu'cking shot. I barely have motivation to go outside and enjoy life. This has gotten me down so much that I've stopped looking for work.
Addressing the terrible mental/emotional toll of ED is as important to me as addressing the erection/penetration problems
When I take girls out I dont progress sexually with them for fear I wont be able to do anything with them. Why do i take them out then? To see if hopefully their prescence might ignite some erectiile spark.
I've had some level of performance anxiety (and probably a venous leak) my whole life. I can't count the number of times I broke off a budding relationship before we got to "the deed". Or the number of times in the past few years that I wanted to get frisky with my wife, but stopped in order to prevent another disappointment
So this is my story. Now I'm seriously considering taking the first daunted step into the crazy world of implants. Here are my questions:
1) Are any of you implanters disappointed youve gotten an implant? Not me! Even with having to go back and get it tweaked. Disappointed that I waited so long.
2) Are you guys able to get orgasms consistently? No. Orgasms are still iffy. They became problematic with the prostatectomy. It is getting easier to climax, and when I do, they're much more intense than pre-prostatectomy (although I sure do miss shooting my load )
3) Which implant is best in length and girth? I think the important question is which implant is most appropriate for your particular physiology.
4) I've seen pics of guys with implants. Many look too short and skinny. Is this a common problem? That's all relative. I was short and skinny my whole life. The prostatectomy took away over an inch from an already short dick, leaving me with an "innie" most of the time that I could stretch to about 5". Now I'm never an innie, and I can pump it up to a little more than 5". Girth when pumped to the max that I can handle is 4-12". Length and girth are both increasing slowly with 2x daily cycling. I may get back to my previous size, but I'm okay if I don't. IT WORKS.
Whenever, wherever and forever. I think the pix you see of the bigger dicks belong to guys who had bigger dicks to begin with.
5) Whats the maximum length and girth for an implant?Don't know.
Taking the plunge is not easy. Living with ED was not easy. Keep asking as many questions as you want. We're all here to help you make your decision, no matter which way you decide to go. I'd highly recommend you find someone in your area who is willing to show and tell. It made a huge difference for me.
Wish you the best.
Bob

Re: Thinking of Getting an Implant.. But Scared!
My first comment is to replace the phrase “crazy world of implants” with miraculous world of implants. They truly are life-changing for those of us fortunate to have restored or sexual lives.
At five months post-op I am beyond thrilled with what my implant has done for my dick, my happiness, my wife’s happiness, and so much more.
Regarding AMS vs. Titan for length and girth, Leave it to your doc to guide you to what is best for you. My doc suggested the AMS LGX for me based on my consultation with him and telling him how much size I had lost following my Prostatectomy and a desire to get it back. With my device there is the potential for future expansion of both girth and length. After my surgery my doc said he was happy I chose the LGX because the Titan cylinders may have been too much for my anatomy.
When you have seen pix of what you are calling short skinny dicks, keep in mind many of us getting implants are older and have had long term ED and a lot of us had Prostate Cancer and Prostatectomies. Age, ED and that surgery all take a toll on penis size. Mine was considerably larger most of my life than it was just prior to my implant. Luckily I have regained most of my size, but some guy’s circumstances don’t permit that.
As for maximum length and girth for an implant, men with large penises get implants so the max is big, but if your question is really what your max will be, there are all kinds of factors that go into it. Your surgeon can generally give you a good approximation, but they don’t make promises because of the variables.
Many men have the same questions and concerns as you, but one day we finally reached a point where the answers really don’t matter because it is our only remaining hope to recapture our sex lives. Like everything in life Implant surgery comes with risks, but it also can provide great rewards.

I am 64 and had ED from a VL. Implanted by Dr. Ronald Anglade in Atlanta on 9/18/17. I have an AMS700LGX 21 cm via a Penoscrotal incision. Very happy with results. 6" soft and 6 3/4” x 5 5/8” hard.

Re: Thinking of Getting an Implant.. But Scared!
Greg,
Well said....
I got to the point where there was really nothing to lose, even if the surgery didn't work, so I took the plunge. Did I get the dick of my dreams? No. (If I did, it would probably have to be registered as some kind of threat to society ).
Did I get a dick I don't have to search for, that I KNOW will work whenever I want it to? Did I get a new sense of self worth? Yes.
Would I do it again? Absolutely! Just a few years sooner.

1.) Not disappointed at all.
2.) Yes I can get an orgasm consistently.
3.) The coloplast Titan is known to add girth in some cases. It is also more rigid than the AMS. (you can see the rigidity test somewhere on facebook)
The AMS has a more natural flaccid look while the titan will keep you looking semi-aroused at all times.
I don't mind the bulge in my pants though
4.) Everyone is different and a lot of it is due to factors outside the implant.
Specifically the tissue that's around the penis. Men that suffer from peyronies and other penile related problems may look skinnier.
Each penis is unique lol like a snowflake.
If you look up my journal, page 6 has my side by side. You'll see I do not have a skinny or short bionic penis
Doctors will not promise you any more girth or length than what you already have. If they do, they're lying and I would avoid a surgeon that makes promises they know are not true.
5.) The implant length is dictated by the length of your own penis.
A guy with a 5" dick is not going to have a 8" dick after surgery. It's physically impossible.
The cylinders would push through the glans and cause major issues (even poking out the tip!)
Generally speaking they say you'll lose about 1/4 of an inch but can gain it back with daily cycling after months or years.
Again that's a case by case basis. Nothing is guaranteed.
My dick is just about the same length and more girthy than it was pre-surgery.
If someone is afraid of losing length more than having a functioning erection, they may not be ready for an implant.
With no other options available to me (pills failed, wouldn't do injections/VED pump) I made the decision to get an implant and never looked back.
I'm thrilled with it!
Any other questions just ask or PM me
cheers

Re: Thinking of Getting an Implant.. But Scared!
Hi Alterr-
Nice to hear from you. Our stories are similar even so far as taking guys out (yes I am gay) hoping their mere presence would do the trick. It did not.
I'm 49 and have had ED since 2005. I joined the site in 2010 but wasn't anywhere thinking about putting an implant in my body let alone my penis. Then I decided to take notes on what everybody had to say and I asked a lot of questions.
There are two motivating factors causing me to have the surgery this April or May. One, I'll be 50 the end of this year. I never ever cared about what age I was but at 48 something happened. Basically HOLY SHIT! I'm missing out on sex/self-esteem/relationships etc.
The second motivating factor is that I have reached the point where all of the stuff I have learned and am still learning has moved me from a HOPE SOMEDAY I'LL DO THIS to LETS GET IT DONE AND BEHIND ME.
FrankTalk is the best resource for guys like us.
Hope that helps.
