Hi all,
I've been waiting for quite some time for this procedure but my surgeon has proposed a date next week which kind of caught me on the hop.i havent had an opportunity to discuss the post op with my surgeon.
I really dont want to turn the date down for fear of waiting for months for another surgery date.....i have a few commitments a two days after the procedure.....from implanted guys on here, have you been able cleared to drive two days after the op or is this just not an option?
Thanks , and thanks to all who post very valuable information on here.
Implant question. Ok to drive two days after the procedure?
Implant question. Ok to drive two days after the procedure?
37 years old. Ed from VL all my life. Natural erections impossible from 25 years onwards. Max strength pills stopped working , vein ligation didnt work. Injections worked great for 6 months before they stopped working. Implanted 4/4/18.

Not sure how far you intend to drive but maybe very uncomfortable, I tried using a pillow but still very uncomfortable, took 2 weeks before doing things like that with out a lot of discomfort
Hello, married to a beautiful wife who helped me make this decision. Had the AMS 700 implanted 18 months ago and love it. Here to help if anyone needs any advice. I'm 59 and from the Pittsburgh area.

I haven't done the surgery yet, but the paperwork I got from my Doc said I would be in the hospital overnight, and should not drive for 2 days - longer if I continued to take the prescription pain meds. Travelling in a car as a passenger would be less problematic, though perhaps painful. Some guys have done it and used urine bottles so they didn't have to get out of the car to pee.
I doubt I would drive, but I'd probably say yes to being a passenger, knowing that some pain would be worth getting it done sooner.
Good luck.

Re: Implant question. Ok to drive two days after the procedure?
My post-op instructions said most men should not drive for 3 to 5 days. I must admit I did drive on the second day locally to the store. I needed to pick up some Colace stool softener. I had constipation caused by anesthesia. I remember the drive wasn't that bad. Walking into the store was the hard part. If I were you, I would not count on being able to drive so soon. You should probably try to find a way to delay those commitments. Good luck!

Several things to consider forst and formost whatever your dr says.
# 2 pain meds no driving while on them. You do and get stopped and charged with DUI figure 5 to 10 k in legal fees, fines community service , dui school. Plus insurance
# 3. Standard or automatic?
# 4. Where is your incesion
# 5. How far.
Since I did not a scrotal or pubic incession was not on pain meds drove 30 m8nutes back to dr next day plus any short trips around the motel. Drove home 2 .5 hours n3x5 day

I drove back to Long Island two days post op. Obviously cleared it with my doctor first. No problems, just had to split the driving with my wife and take a couple pit stops! Then again, I was fortunate to have minimal swelling or pain. I was only taking Tylenol. Good luck!
From Long Island. Implanted by Andrew Kramer in Baltimore with AMS Lgx 700 on 1/3/18. Peyronies led to ED and some size loss. Tried viagra, cila is to no avail. Did my research here and other sights then made the jump.

Well, I don't know about you but, there is no way in hell that I would have driven or anything other than lounge around in bed for at least one full week after and then only light things like get my own breakfast, etc.

I was sent home from the hospital pumped up harder than the surgeon intended. I could not use the toilet to piss. I called and was able to get in to see him about 46 hours after being discharged. I looked at my post-op directions and the only stipulation was no driving for 24 hours after taking the pain pills. I did not need them so I drove myself to the appointment. That particular day he was at his farthest location so I had to drive more than an hour each way. I was uncomfortable, but no more than I was sitting at home.
