Morning gents,
Browsing through medical forums can provide a lot of interesting answers but can unfortunately raise a lot of new questions and concerns. A lot of people here seem satisfied with their implants, however I found this thread of horror story after horror story.

Guys- that thread is so frightening to me, especially as a young guy who is feeling pretty sure he'll need an implant. What do you guys think of such a thread? Thank you

What to think of threads such as these?
26 years old. USA. ED problem since teenage years. Doctor prescribed ED meds showing some efficacy but not a guarantee. As much as I’d like the implant I now think I should hold off if I’m seeing some results from pills
Re: What to think of threads such as these?
I read the thread and it made me cringe! A lot of misinformation. Talk to a first rate implant surgeon (I suggest Dr Kramer or Dr Eid, there are plenty of others as well) to get some straight answers to your concerns. Remember ignorance is bliss!
1950. Implanted November 1st 2017 by Dr Andrew Kramer with Titian 22cm + 2cm RTE. Pump relocated and replace with Classic pump Jan. 24th, 2018. Pump failure 12/18, Replaced 2/13/19 by Dr Kramer. Revision by Dr Clavell, Feb 28, 2024.

Thank you sir! I guess while we're on this thread together, would you mind answering my biggest question?
How long does it take to pump yourself up for sex? I feel like it could become a huge mood killer. Thanks!

Invariably there are good and bad in all medical results and good and bad surgeons. Do your homework. This isn’t having an ingrowing toe nail removed. This is make or break surgery. One chance to regain a working dick. The fact many on this thread didn’t even realise a natural erection was not possible post surgery is so damn scary. Done correctly and by a confident and experienced surgeon the results can be life changing. I should know!!
Now Implanted 9/12/17. 52 years old with ED for over 20 years. Tried all the pills and injections. Update. Implanted with Titan 22 + 1. by DR Ralph Dec 9th London. Now in recovery and at 3 months feeling the journey was worth the pain.
Re: What to think of threads such as these?
It doen't take long to pump up, 60 to 90 seconds does it for me. I pre-pump (10 or so pumps) if I have a hot date. Step in to the restroom for another quick 20 pumps. You can pump while performing oral sex on her, she would not know. Some on here have cut a hole in their pant's pocket and done it while flirting. Believe me you'll get creative and it will be like second nature.

I would prefer surgery with a doctor close to home- I've found some guys in the area that do implants fairly routinely. But as to your point, that's exactly right. This is a surgery you absolutely need done correctly to restore your life. I'm very glad things have worked out well for you, nobody deserves to suffer through this problem.

That's not terrible, plus I've read accounts that say pumping all the way can hurt one's partner anyway. Maybe just pumping to 80 percent would be sufficient. As a young guy, I'm sure I would like to clear the air and explain everything before having sex. I'm also hoping the device does not limit sex positions or roughness (I've read that all positions are still possible). I've only had sex once as a 20 year old pumped up on viagra and even then my erection felt soft. Well... such is life

Re: What to think of threads such as these?
that link is bull shit. Complaining about having to pump up every day. WTF. To keep healthy dick, you need to vac every day and inject every 5-7 days. That hurts to! Every problem discussed is from not using the implant or not cycling it. Had a saline leak but never had it repaired?? again WTF. I don't have an implant yet but this article seems to be for the uninformed. Thanks to Franktalk forum, I had all the answers to discuss with my implant doc before I went to see him. He also told me this thing needs to be used and exercised for the rest of my life.

I give that thread less weight than peer-reviewed Medical Journal articles.
Individuals' posts about their own experience should be read with an eye towards the unsaid. Reading between the lines one can often see the authors' errors in judgement, incorrect preconceived notions, unrealistic expectations and just plain ignorance. All that, WITHOUT saying that any of the facts asserted are untrue. I believe the posts. I also believe that most surgeries are successful in the end.
Remember, the exceptions are the ones that stand out and self-reporting anecdotes do not make for good statistics.

Thank you! I saw something in that thread that stated this as a fact; the antibiotic coating of the implant eliminates good bacteria from your colon and causes harm to your body. Fake news?
