Hate to disagree my son in law had testicle cancer had to have one removed. My youngest grand daughter was born after one was removed. So you do not need both to produce. But to routinely remove from for the pump I dont see it unless they are extremely large and sac extremely small. In that case there would be issues with or with out the implant

There is a difference between fertility with testosterone production.

Testicles have two functions. One to produce sperm and one to produce the hormone testosterone.

You can still produce sperm with one testicle. So, yes, you have a granddaughter because your son-in-law still had at least one testicle. A vasectomy prevents the "delivery system" for the sperm by cutting the vas deferens.

My concern was not about the vasectomy. The removal of one healthy testicle.

In your son-in-law's case, the testicle was removed to save his life from cancer.

The poster I was responding to, was asking to remove a healthy testicle for the sole purpose of making room for the pump of an implant. That in my opinion, is a terrible idea because his production of testosterone would be reduced. That could have impact on libido and other complications of low testosterone. The remaining testicle may work harder to produce the necessary amount. That may cause problems with that testicle.

I agree 100% about not taking a healthy one for no reason. They way I read your post I thought you meant you had to have 2 for normal function. I had ny vascetomy in 81. So I know all about that

Wasn’t thinking about the testosterone aspect... I’ll keep both stones and just go for the vasectomy. Thanks for the advice!

You are still fairly young. Are you sure you want to wipe out any chance of you having kids? Have you found your life partner and soulmate? I was young when I had my done, but already had 2 kids. 8 months later my daughter died a year and half latter I was divorced. My current wife of 34 years said her one regret is we never had kids together. In our case she had to have a hysterectomy was not her choice. Since I was fixed did not bother me.

Just give it thought and dont make a rash decession you may regret. On the flip side have a friend not cut wife not fixed. He became a new dad at 50, his daughter was ready to graduate high school

Thanks for the reply and concern. I like other people’s kids and have 15 nieces and nephews but never wanted any of my own. I asked my doctor for a vasectomy when I was 21 and he told me I would change my mind as I get older... same doctor that prescribed me viagra for 20+ years even though I told him I had little success and lots of side effects. I’m looking forward to a new doctor fixing both issues my previous doctor failed to address. I’ve always know I don’t want children of my own.
My partner has a grown child with no desire for any more kids, and her IUD is coming out in a couple years so it’s up to me to handle the birth control. I’ll be damned if I get a working pecker and need to wrap it up in rubber.

Plastic Saddle (I Wanna Feel That Leather) When I Ride

LYRICS
I've got a long black six passenger limousine
A palace in Dallas a club in New Orleans
Diamonds on my fingers silk imported clothes
And I can tell a fast train by the way she blows
So don't give me no plastic saddle lemme feel that leather when I ride
Don't give me no paint and powder honey lemme see the hide
False eyelashes and a false foundation may help to build your pride
But don't give me no plastic saddle lemme feel that leather when I ride
Well I'm the cream of societies a man about town
Never looked for nothing that I ain't found
Some say I ain't right but they can't prove I'm wrong
I know the words to the tune before you sang your song
So don't give me no plastic saddle...
Don't give me no plastic saddle lemme feel that leather when I ride
Don't give me no plastic saddle lemme feel that leather when I ride

We have a hard time finding a doctor willing to do it that young. Mine did me because I had 3 girls and we felt that was enough and he agreed. :)
