Losing Erections when Upright

Because my wife's Arthritis has become worse over the last few weeks, we have had to adapt. Previously we favoured standard ‘Missionary’ positions with her on her back (because that was where she was most comfortable), but more recently Ishe wanted me to be stand next to the bed, as she needs to have her hips straight (on her back) but without me putting any weight on her.

The problem is that maintaining an erection lying down or sitting was no problem, but it can disappear very quickly when I am in a more upright position. If I lay down, the erection returns as strong as before with some stimulation. As soon as stand up, it starts to disappear again.

My BP when upright is very similar to when I am sat down.

Any ideas?

Tell tale sign of venous leak. You could try to get your injection meds adjusted. If this doesn’t work then an implant will

I had a Venous Leak and had to be flat on my back and quite still to maintain an erection. I could wake up with Morning awood so hard it hurt and if I moved to sit up or stand, my penis was limp in seconds. Treatments were minimally effective so I ended up finally getting an implant.

I use Trimix. I get a good erection, but when getting into it. The erection goes away. After a few minutes the erection comes back, then starting to get jiggy with it and it goes away. Very frustrating!

My urologist thinks it is a blood pressure problem. My BP must change drastically when I get physical.

Can't wait for an implant!

Although I have never used them, lots of our members use or have used cock rings. I suspect that they may help you until your inevitable penile implant.

Spoke to Specialist Nurse yesterday and reviewed standing/sitting BP & Pulse readings.
Readings slightly higher when standing

She said lots of guys have this problem, and she puts it down to gravity.
She suggested I try a ring when upright, so going to give that a try.

Larry's suggestion re: try a cock ring, is a good one. I've used a flexible cock ring a lot to prevent "erection fade" when changing positions from laying down to standing (for "doggie style" sex which works great for both of us with the ring in place). I have a low blood pressure issue that can cause my problem.

My penis gets bigger, and much harder, more "raging" especially the head with a ring and it is sometimes effective in helping me reach orgasm, usually to be finished by hand, mine or my wife's. she's almost always "good" after cumming once or twice aided by the cock ring on my dick, so my happy ending is usually all mine though she likes to watch. Important to be careful with cock rings. Be sure it's tight but not overly, and limit to 30 minutes use, to be on the safe side. No problem with the ring preventing ejaculation. I cum more and better with than without...the old "squeezing the hose" thing to increase the water pressure.

I know how tough inability to cum can be even with our meds and injections. Good luck with your cock ring. Make sure it is flexible. They are very inexpensive!

Sounds like you have low BP. Do you get dizzy when you stand up?

I had the exact opposite problem. I could do a dose of muse or do an injection. Got erection but if I sat down or laid down away it went. Very frustrating.
