I have been following posts on this website for some time. Maybe a year or so.
Read many posts, and appreciate all of the information offered.
I have been back and forth so many times.
I can usually get pills to work, mixing Cialis with Viagra, but these only seem to work in a perfect environment, like me at home taking care of myself, and not with any partner. When adding the element of another person, then the pills don't seem to work.
I can also use injections along with Cialis, but same result as above. With a high dose of TriMix, I can have good results. But I am wanting to get off the injections. They are not convenient, I can't plan very well, or travel.
I have come to situations where I am with a woman and not prepared, so I basically have to opt out of any advances she may make, or that I want to make.
I want to be free. Having ED as long as I can remember, even at 16 trying to have sex my first time I failed. Then at 17 I was able to have sex the first time, but it took multiple attempts to get a semi hard penis in where I wanted.
I understand the risks, and the cost. I understand that my dick maybe oval. Well it already is... If anything maybe that will add more stimulation in a vagina, and looks bigger from the top. I get that my flacid will be gone forever, my biggest dissapointment, but I will get used to it.
I want to never think about pills, syringes, TriMix, etc. Leaving that behind I beleive will lead to a much better and more functional life.
I have already taken steps, Janice with Dr. EID is already working on approvals, I have requested my local Uro to submit a request to my insurance to accept Dr. EID as 'In-Network'. Worst case is they won't and I pay more.
I have the budget prepared, and am prepared to move forward.
I am a little anxious, and some of you may tell me to stay on injections longer, but I am worried about scar tissue, and I want to feel free from all of that.
I am open to any opinions regarless of what they are.
This is my last call for opinions that may sway my decision.
Thank you everyone on this site who has given me insite and support.

You’ve done your homework. I’m confident that once you’re all healed up the burden of ED will be lifted. Good luck with your surgery.

Re: TreeTop - Finally a decision.
It seems to me you've made a rational decision after considering all the pros and cons. Go for it.
Born 1948, wed 1969. BPH & Type II Diabetes at age 35. TURP-2002; ED even before that--diabetes. Cardiac valve surgery: 2007 & 2019. Poor results with pills. Started trimix injections in Nov, 2010. Great results from the very beginning.

Yes, I just don't want to continue on this way.
So many happy men here, and I know there is risk, but I am just going to go for it and trust Dr. EID to do a good job.

Re: TreeTop - Finally a decision.
TreeTop,
Congratulations!
Making the decision was actually the hardest part of the whole process for me. Once it was made, I won’t say I didn’t get nervous from time to time and wonder “wtf am I doing?”. But a big burden was off my shoulders. I had reached the point that Greg1956 has spoken about — there was no game stopper downside (except the extremely low possibility of infection) compared to where I was, a guy with a useless Dick that was not going to come back to life.
It takes a certain amount of courage to make this decision. I am certain you won’t regret it. Hard times ahead!

TreeTop,
Good for you. It is not easy to reach the point you are at, but you’ve done it. I believe you are making a smart choice based on everything you wrote. I hope the insurance thing goes smoothly and you can move forward.

Re: TreeTop - Finally a decision.
Thank you.
I am going back through Merrix posts. Page by page each day.
I may do the same with other EID patients.
Preparing for the road ahead.
I know once I am post op a couple weeks or more, I will be quite happy for going for it.

Congratulations on your decision, you won't regret it. The only thing you will be saying a year from now is "I don't know why I didn't do this sooner". All the best to you, if you need help or questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
