About 14 years of ED and I am finally Ready

Wow, where does time go?? Had prostatectomy in 2004 followed 5 years later by radiation. I used tri-mix and developed Peyronies but that is now mostly size loss and a dent. No real bend. I have experienced total ED for years and use a VED. If I pop a 100 Viagra with the VED I can tell it helps a little. I have been afraid of more size loss with an implant and will miss my engorged glans I got with a VED but all of a sudden I cant do this fast enough.

I set up a video consultation with Dr. Eid but just checked and cannot find him on my Govt Employees Blue Cross. I might have to go with Dr Kramer in Baltimore.

Does the patient usually have much say in AMS LGX vs, Coloplast? Does the Coloplast feel as natural when erect since the cylinders are stiffer?

Finally is it feasible to take a 3 1/2hr car ride home after surgery or do I need a motel for a night or two?

Go for it!!! Some surgeons prefer one brand over another. I’d go with the surgeons recommendation. Use your ved twice a day leading up to your implant to maximize size.

My doc uses both. Titan is for over 7 inch guys. AMS lgx will grow to the full inside space of your natural tunica with cycling over a year. This is what he says. H e has been doing this for 30 years and is supposed to be one of the best in LA. I have full confidence in him and 9 days since surgery. Can feel tubes from glans to crus. 9 inches. That is the same as I could feel and measure with a solid shot of trimix. Partially pumped and measuring 6 on the working side. Lots of pain in this healing process or I am just a wimp. Getting much better each day.

I was under the impression that a patient got all the length they were going to get within a couple months with all implants except the AMS LGX but I read men posting that even with a Titan that they seem to improve over several months. Is that true?

I am only 4 days since implant and I have the same length as before surgery and it's only 60% pumped. I suggest staying in a hotel for a couple of days. The pain/discomfort was pretty intense, but it diminished quickly for me in two days. There is no way I would travel or do anything the day after surgery, it's just too uncomfortable. I flew home yesterday and was just fine. No pain at all today. And I must say, I can't keep my eyes off of this thing! It's beautiful! I can't wait to start cycling. Do it! And good luck!

Thanks for the feedback, Vince. I envy you your newfound asset. I am somewhat conservatively shy about discussing sex casually but I feel like I could tatoo "Bionic Dick" with the model number on my forehead once I get an implant. I badly miss looking down and seeing the unstoppable erection I had for 55 years.

Can you share the discussion and factors that led up to you getting the Coloplast Titan?

When I learned that the titan is harder in the hard state and that it has a 22mm diameter (which is bigger than the AMS 18 mm diameter) I decided to go with titan ---- glad that i did.

So much controversy about these implants. I had my pre-surgery appointment last week. My Doc uses both brands of implants so I asked about Ams gaining length and girth. He told me that the AMS-LGX will gain girth but not length. The Coloplast will gain girth only. I was leaning toward the AMS because it is supposed to make you smaller than a Coloplast when flaccid according to him.
I spend a lot of time on stage in front of people so really didn't want a large pkg. poking out when on stage. He says Coloplast is the best one for my body. So considering he knows much more than me about this subject I'm going with the Coloplast in 3 days.
I might have to wear a jock strap when on stage to conceal my new pkg. I wonder if I need a special concealed carry permit for that?

So am I to understand that although both brands obviously come in different lengths that each brand has a fixed diameter??? How can that be? Penises vary as much in girth as they do in length.

PS RanchereJim. I think you misspoke when you said the LGX gains only in girth.
