Considering injections

Postby falcon62 » Mon May 07, 2018 8:52 am

It's been three years since my surgery. Pills, pump and Muse have not produced an erection suitable for intercourse. Muse has provided some firmness but not enough. My doctor says the injections will work but I am hesitant. I have read many success stories here. I still wonder what quality of an erection I could expect? Does the head get as engorged as with a normal erection? How about the base? I don't imagine anything would return my life to "towel bar" strength but something close would be nice. I am concerned too that having not been hard in 3 years made be a problem. Any thoughts and experiences would be appreciated. Thanks.

From what I've been reading on this forum it sounds like you should have luck with using Trimix and getting that towel bar effect as it seems as if there are others on this forum in a similar situation? What dosage and strength of injection were you given? There is a wealth of information on this forum. If no one chimes in with experience with your situation try going through the 56 pages of hundreds of topics under this injection forum?

I'd recommend that before starting injections you get a vacuum pump to get the little guy back to his original size.

I think you will get the "towel bar" effect when you begin the injections, and I'd recommend them.

I seem to have lost that experience and have injected almost 5 years now.
Some guys have never suffered a decline in effectiveness, but I am not one of them, dammit.

Dear Friend,

I was as sceptocal as you for about two years and sadly lost my second wise partially to my ED. I was bitter and my self esteem went down the drain.

My biggest obstacle was that I couldn’t imagine to inject in my penis although I give shots to dozens of patients a day in my profession. When I got my first impression in the doctors office I had the best erection since my 20’s. Took me a couple months to perfect it but there is no comparison.

I highly recommend that you get started and come back here often to tell your experiences and ask questions. This is a big part in any man’s life that should not be ignored.

All the best.

I have not yet set up an appointment to begin injections. Still thinking about it.

I have used a medical equipment brand of VED and it results in some blood flow but nowhere near anything that would be considered an erection.

Effective pumping requires a. It of conditioning in order to get the best results. Even now after over eight years of pumping. I still need up to five minutes to allow the maximum amount of blood to fill and engorge the chambers to their max potential. I also need to use an Osbon tension band in order to maintain maximum engorgement.

That being said, I did have about three years of very hard, one hour erections generated by Trimix. Unfortunately, after three years, Trimix became less effective and I had to return to pumping. However, I loved those three years while they lasted.

falcon,
Make the appointment and try the injections. They work great for me. The tiny needles generally used cause very little pain. I use straight alprostadil (mono-mix) but most guys use tri-mix. Chances are they will work for you too. Go for it!

I would describe my 7-1/2 years experience with Trimix as "like a 19 year old without the stupid"?

Yes, definitely step out of your comfort zone and go for the injections. You really do get used to poking your porker. And, if they work, and the odds are greatly that they will, you will be very happy with the return of a hard boner.

Remember, though, that it is a process. I've worked through Bimix and a low-grade Trimix. Am now on a "standard" mix of Trimix and will soon pump up the volume for, I suspect, even better results.
ED worsened over 25 years, likely VL. Went through pills and injections, and results faded over time. Implant AMS 700CX, 21 cm, no RTE, on 6/3/24.
