implant via a subcoronal approach?

My first implant was via an infra-pubic approach, and when it wore out after just 4 years I had another implant. It was done via a sub-coronal approach. Anyone else had an implant via a sub-coronal approach?

Had ifrapubic and seems most get scrotal incision. Never heard of sub-coronal approach. Could you elaborate on where the incision is with sub-coronal

Surgeon makes a shallow incision all the way around the corona (area below the head) and then pulls the skin down to the base of the penis ("degloving" is what it is called). no thanks, that sounds painful. Tried to watch that vid but got sick. Talk about skinned alive.

You don't feel a thing if you get put to sleep during surgery....

We had a brother (no longer on FT) who had a subcoronal incision due to onset of Peyronies. He healed nicely but it took almost 6 weeks.

Mine started out infrapubic but basically ended up what you are describing because of all the scare tissue they could not get the implant into the glands just glad they kept trying and didn't give me floppy head or nothing …. my surgery was a little over 5 hours but a little over a year now doing great.....they did start me cycling at a week just easy to help stretch all the the skin back out

i waked up with "three" incisions including this one around the gland. my surgery took two hours as my doctor explained "concrete" scare tissue through one of two corpora cavernosa. The sub-coronal incision appears indispensable to verify the passway for the cylinder without other damages.

I did not feel the urge to use pain killer other than 600-mg Ibprophen, then 400-mg then 200mg. IB.

5/15/18 was the surgery date. I just had staple removed two days ago. No cyclign yet but hot shower three times a day while exercising in pulling down penis as well as the pump "as tolerated". Such exercise gives me some pain i did not experienced immediately after the implant 10 days ago.
