Hi guys,
I've created a thread about what part Medicare pays for an implant procedure and implant itself. But I havent gotten any good responses at all. Once again if you guys can answer what part Medicare I need for an implant surgery funded 100% by the government I'd appreciate it greatly.

I work for a healthcare fund and my understanding is it would be Medicare Part A, as it covers inpatient hospital care and surgery.
Part B covers outpatient care services such as dialysis or specialty drugs administered at a physician's office like neulasta or eylea. Part D is the prescription drug benefit e.g. drugs you pick up at pharmacy.
This is my understanding, but I defer to the U.S. residents who I am sure understand their HC system better than a Brit!

I just got my statement from my insurance provider for my implant surgery. The total cost was $46789.00. I have parts A & B Medicare with no supplemental insurance and my total cost was $000.00 nothing. Needless to say I am very happy-I was expecting a copay of some sort since my hospital and surgeon are the absolute best!

Amazing how a foreigner, a brit, knows more about Medicare than americans do. I'm completely flabbergasted and embarrassed. Star, I'll find out more about this. I've tried googling this and had different results come up. Very mysterious and confusing.
