Cycling till pain 15-20 min twice a day in my hot tub.. Want at least my inch back. Want to have sex with it pumped up and have no pain while screwing. Presently only 13 cm of my 15cm implant is getting pumped. I have 2 cm to go then add 20%. I may be back to my pre PC of 6 inch.

i just spoke to my surgeon about what I can do to make sure it lasts as long as possible. He said:
" with the titan, it is the tubing that is the "achilles heel" of the device. In particular, where the tubing meets the pump. So, when inflating, try to rest your hand on your thigh or use two hands so that vertical up and down motions (which cause flexing of the tubes) are kept to an absolute minimum..."

It seems that with Coloplast titan, failure of the cylinders is unusual, so issues of rough sex are less of a problem for titan.

Personally, I suspect that the more pumps that you place into the pumping device, the sooner it will wear out --- this just seems like a natural thing with any mechanical device (though I agree with many of shooter's comments)

similarly, here are my thoughts on the following d=from shooter100:
(from shooter1000) What is there to wear out? and is the wear and tear a result of cycling, or just everyday movement? We hear a lot about failures of tubing and connections. I doubt that cycling will cause that, but the everyday movement of your body relative to the implant can cause constant motion.

Shooter has a good point regarding the everyday movement of your body....that certainly seems like it could have an additive effect on tube fatigue that is a few orders of magnitude more frequent then the cycling. Thus, I avoid anything that would bounce my pump around (ie, no horseback riding, no lawn tractors)

I thought the idea of only using it for sex (not for masturbation) had some merit, but then again, no one is absolutely certain.

I still max mine out 3 times a day and it gets one form of workout or another. This thing was not purchased to be a hood ornament though if it were, I would expect it would draw more attention than the ornament on the hood of a 1929 La Salle. I have no intention in having a like new in the box implant when my body is worn out.

I'm cycling 2x a day most days, and will continue until about the 18 month mark, or until I see no gain in size for a couple of months.

I did inflate my implant two times per day for the first few weeks/months. For about 10-30 minutes each time.
Then I decreased the frequency and probably did it around 10 times per week for about a year. But rarely for 30 minutes. Most of the time rather just for 5-10 minutes while taking a shower.
After that, i.e. 1.5 years post-op, I stopped the "cycling" and only inflate when I use it. Which is for sex or masturbation. When masturbating, I only inflate about 60% of max. When having sex I nowadays inflate very close to max, maybe 95%.
Since I have sex around 2-3 times per week, it means I only inflate my implant near max 2-3 times per week.

My length is over 1 cm longer now than it was pre-op on my best Viagra/Cialis combo erection. Most of the growth was of course in the beginning, but even since I stopped the "cycling", my dick has continued to grow a few millimeters.

Psychologically I actually like it better to not "cycle". First of all it is just a reminder of the fact that you are an impotent bastard with a preosthesis in your dick. Even though that is a million times better than an impotent bastard without an implant in my dick, I still prefer not thinking so much about it, not getting reminded of it twice per day, but rather just use it for good sex. Reap the benefits and skip all else.

I also do believe there is a correlation between time to revision and usage. Of course implants occasionally break down within months and sometimes they last 15 years with heavy usage.
But there are also non-smokers getting lung cancer and then there are life time smokers never getting cancer. Does that mean smoking does not increae risks of lung cancer? No it doesn't. it is still a fact that the more you smoke, the larger the chance you will get lung cancer. And the more you smoke, the sooner you are likely to get it.

Same with the implant failure. Implants can fail for reasons beyond our control. But one factor in how long it lasts is usage.
And if sitting in chair doing nothing for 30 minutes with my dick inflated while I could have done something better (working, exercising, sleeping, spending time with family/friends) means I increase the risk for an early failure, then I rather don't.

I would probably recommend people to do quite aggresive cycling in the first months. But after that I am not so sure.

I certainly agree this part posted by merrix is very very important and will make a difference in how your implant performs down the road. Beyond that, I am a person who was best satisfied having sex or masturbating 3 times a day ( or as many as needed) for 45 years. I have no intention of letting up just to make my implant last longer. It is there for a purpose I'll use and replace that machine as long as needed. As long as your implant satisfies your need for it's intended purpose, use it and enjoy it. If you are happy with an every other Sunday play time, may it last forever.

Let me just clarify:
I don’t mean limit usage (sex or masturbation) due to worrying about implant early failure.
I have sex as often as I can. 3 times per week is because I am normally only home 3 nights per week. I often use it by myself the other 4 days.

What I refer to is limit the pumping up which is not for usage. Cycling.
I believe it is helpful for some time. After a point I believe it is not.

I have a question about cycling. Where are you actually feeling the pain/discomfort. I can pump up to full rock hard pump. And no pain. Im aware im undersized but should the sides of my penis be hurting/stretching as I know the titan will not press on the head and stretch length
29 years old. Suffered with ED since 17. No known cause. First Implanted date 23/3/2018. Cylinders way too short and revised by different surgeon 2019. 22cm titan.
Cylinders still short and now pump is upside down and protruding. Awaiting 3rd revision

I had a revision after fifteen years with an ultrex 700. It worked good and I used it at least every other day. Sex or just playing around, I treated it as if I was completely normal. Now with the LGX it definitely has added length and girth. Length at least an inch, and the same with girth. Getting the revision definitely added length and girth. I do use it everyday if possible. I am really enjoying it, and if it fails, I will go for another revision. The doctor only told me after the surgery to work the scrotum around the pump so that I would not get atrophy. He said just sorta pinch around the pump and that will prevent the atrophy. Then he told me to inflate it and just said, nice girth, go out and enjoy it.
age: 75 First implant around 2001, 59 at the time. AMS 700 Ultrex
revision Dec 2016. 2ND implant 21CM, 1rte AMS 700 LGX MS pump

Agreed sir. No need to pump w/o general purpose doing it. Now I'm not worried you are turning momma down to maintain a cycle count. Use it till you smell smoke. Cheers man.
