Implanted before full impotence?

Postby Nocturne » Sat Jul 07, 2018 9:57 am

Any bionic men here get implanted before losing all functionality?

I’m working “OK” with the pills now, sometimes even “good”. But I fear needing one or two years of complete impotence before being allowed to get an implant.

I have regained functionality and sex works 99% of the time. But I have lost confidence and I freak out and make myself miserable when, for example, it takes me rather a long time and a lot of effort to get hard, or I start to go soft in the middle of sex and have to slow down to get it back. Yes, I can usually get it back and finish, but it is nerve wracking and sucks so much of the fun and enjoyment out of sex, making it stressful when it should be relaxing.

I think the implant is the ONLY thing that is going to get that back for me. And I honestly wish I already had one.

I don’t NEED one yet, though, and for the most part I am OK with where I am. What I fear is having to endure mediocre to poor sex for years before becoming completely impotent and then dying while waiting for the surgery.
Genetically sky-high Lp(a) of 390 led to various heart diseases. Ultra-low testosterone of 120 (now 480 with Clomid) also contributed to ED at age 41. Managing with daily Cialis, but for me, the implant is a "when", not an "if".

I cannot really enjoy blow jobs because I cannot feel how hard my dick is when it is in my wife’s mouth, which makes me stress and actually get soft. Assuming I was actually hard to begin with.

I disagree that you don’t need one yet... you state that you have trouble getting and maintains an erection although it works 99% of the time. That is severe ED.

During the questionnaire I answered the questions about achieving, maintaining, and level of satisfaction with the same conditions you state and my score was in the severe ED range.

Sex shouldn’t be a chore or cause anxiety about the process of keeping an erection. I think you have spent enough time trying to work through the problem and think most urologist would say the same.

I would not wait until you are unable to achieve an erection as that will cause loss in size you may not get back even with an implant.

With a couple of hard rods in your dick the pleasure and sensation is only about 20% of what you have now.

Sex is supposed to be fun... if you’re not comfortable and having fun, then fix it.

Oldbleek, you reeeeeally have to stop it with the alarmist and frankly untrue, inaccurate and hopeless statements you’re putting out there.

Let’s take all of the comments about implants and satisfaction made in this forum alone, (disregarding the many who don’t feel the need to come on an online forum because they’re happy) but it would seem to me the majority, perhaps even the vast majority are really happy and don’t report anything like the ‘robotic and senseless’ feelings you report.

This may be your experience and view but it isn’t that of the many and therefore your comments are way too generalistic and basically unrepresentative.

I’m sorry your implant has not made your quality of life better.
37, mild to moderate ED since age 21, 3 Dopplers - 1 result VL & 3 later results 'no physical problem', dependent on cialis (efficacy now waning), overcame Lymophoma at age 26, ED causing immense/profound psychological distress. Considering implant.

Also, I’ve done enough research to know that that 20% figure you put out is complete bull.

You’re entitled to your say but I’m here to ask that you stop saying things that aren’t the case for the many and claiming it as a universal, gospel truth.

As for Nocturne,

I am in COMPLETELY the same boat. Cialis works. At the best of times, I’m a fucking rock star but ED, when and if it will fail, they’re always thoughts that are in the back of my mind. I very rarely get morning wood, I can’t keep an erection for masturbation very long without pills, I fear being ‘free’ In the bed and really just letting loose.

Like you, I feel like an implant, if done well, would solve so so much and free me not only in terms of my sex life but across the whole board! Because right now; I’m not reaching my full potential as a human being.

I would say, as I’m doing, really, well and truly consider every possible outcome, get as much information about the implant and your surgeon as possible, have some more sex before you choose to go ahead with it and then if you still feel the same in a few months, I would say go for it.

Life is way too short.

Yep!
It made me, in my surgeons view, a perfect candidate,.....I could still get a soft but useable erection that became as big as I am now with my Titan, after injecting using Caverject.
I keep my Titan partially inflated because I find it comfortable and when my very sexy GF flicks her tongue under my glans I still get blood flow that adds to the erection..... I have not had any issues with my glans.....it swells up and is warm....just like the old days.
So......my take on this topic and from personal experience would be don’t wait until your dick is completely dead and always be guided by your doctor, not by what you read on the web :)

I am not sure why you got such bad results but having the implant has brought back feelings and sensations I haven’t had since I was a horny teenager. Your surgeon must have cut some nerves he should not have cut.
I am 64 and had ED from a VL. Implanted by Dr. Ronald Anglade in Atlanta on 9/18/17. I have an AMS700LGX 21 cm via a Penoscrotal incision. Very happy with results. 6" soft and 6 3/4” x 5 5/8” hard.
