Urologists will only prescribe Caverject and Edex.
I am in the Northeastern part of Oklahoma.
Need an Oklahoma doctor to prescribe bimix or trimix
Re: Need an Oklahoma doctor to prescribe bimix or trimix
No specific OK help but I was originally prescribed Edex by my Uro. I later went to my GP and explained to her that I couldn't afford Edex and asked if she would prescribe a generic equivalent that I could get filled. I also asked that it be 4X stronger so I could inject 1/4 of the volume. She wrote it and I got it filled and I've been happy ever since. Of course it's not tri-mix but a mono-mix. I'm sure, having educated her on the mono-mix, I could have later educated her on tri-mix and got a script for that. She later left the practice but her replacement writes my script with no problems.

Thanks for the reply but all I get are blank stares when I ask. They want money. This area is saturated with the high dollar men's clinics.

You tried with your GP? I just showed mine the Edex package with my prescription label on it. It shows the ingredients. I then directly "informed" her that I needed her to write me a generic script for "that" pointing at the Edex prescription label, explaining that I couldn't afford the name brand stuff. When she agreed I upped the ante and asked that it be written stronger so I could inject less volume. I was kind of direct and didn't really ask in a submissive questioning way. More of a telling her what to do while remaining pleasant enough so she wouldn't automatically go negative. She didn't know anything about the stuff. I directly told her what it was and what it was for. I'm not shy. I'm paying them. I did he same with the GP that replaced her.
Good luck.

Re: Need an Oklahoma doctor to prescribe bimix or trimix
I am on a state pension so I don't have SS or Medicare. My wife does but I don't. I go to an indian clinic where the GP's send me to Urologists. The GP's will not discuss it. They sent me to Dr. Clark Tingleaf in Owasso, Ok who writes only CaverJect. I still have his unfilled prescription from two years ago. They also sent me to a urologist in Tahlequah OK who will not write a prescription for either.
I found a compounding pharmacy in Claremore, OK that sent me to a doctor at Catoosa OK who said he does not write prescriptions for that.
The VA doctor at Muskogee, OK won't discuss it and sent me to Dr Raji Gill in Tulsa. He writes Edex only and opened the door for me to leave. One online review wrote, "People like this should not be doctors." I think that just about sums it up.
I haven't been back to the VA since Trump was elected President but the way that doctor at the VA was slimey about it I don't think anything has changed. I have asked questions on my account with the VA to no avail. It seems my questions go into a dark hole.
I have filled out a couple of online requests to urologists but have never gotten an answer.
You know at $90 per shot, Caverject and Edex are kicking back probably $40 per shot to the prescribing URO and I assume that this is what it is all about. I am now suspecting the GP's at the indian clinic and at the VA are also getting referral fees.
I listen to country music on the radio and it seems that every thirty minutes or so the Men's Clinic commercials break in. There are a least two in Tulsa on these commercials. They want what $2,400? I am raising grandkids on a pension. If I knew where to go I would.

Re: Need an Oklahoma doctor to prescribe bimix or trimix
In April 2017 I called the Apothecary Shoppe compounding pharmacy in Tulsa who referred me to a doctor in Cushing OK. So I paid that doctor $180 for a prescription and had it filled at the Apothecary Shoppe for a hundred and something for 2 ml. Then I went back to the doctor who injected me with I think 20 cc's, it was 20 of something. I never felt a thing. Then I noticed on the medicine bottle that the ratio was 18-1-10. Isn't that weak? And only 2 ml?
Then I got a bill from the doctor's billing agency for six hundred and some dollars, charging me for the papaverine and the other ingredients. By the time I got that straightened out, I gave up. That was April of last year.

When the doctor noticed it did nothing didn't he suggest you try a larger dose? You shouldn't have needed to go through the whole thing again to get him to write you a script for stronger stuff. Then once you get the script and dose figured out order it from a cheaper pharmacy. I wonder why the VA is being so shitty?
I wish I had some useful advice for you but I don't think I do.

That doctor is hooked up with the compounding pharmacy and does not want to write a script for an out of state compounding pharmacy (Talon). Then I almost never got his billing office to understand that I had already paid for the trimix. They had written up a bill charging me almost 200 dollars each for the drugs in the trimix. That was April last year. I got discouraged. This state is something else.
I wrote a big email to the VA today. The nurse replied that that doctor wont be in until the 19th.
I have a regular appointment with the indian clinic about August 6th and I have decided I am going to start ridiculing those doctors. They are looking out for my well being?

Well professor bldoink, this serves to prove my point... our members are more the experts on implants and injections than our doctors... it's not being cocky, it's simply stating fact.

Try the Urology clinic at Integress In Oklahoma City. I've used them and they are good and the prices for Tri Mix script filled at local pharmacy is competitive
