First, let me say I am not here to incite rebellion This site is incredible and I know the work that setting up and running such a site requires. I share my observations because I care about the site, those that work to make it the best it can be, and my brothers that contribute so much support to each other. However, I was surprised just today to see that women apparently are banned from even registering on FT. I was sure I read a great account on here a while back of a live-in GF that that referred to implants as the new improved "Male 2.0". It was a great post. Maybe it was copied from somewhere else ???
As the founder and administrator (for 15 years) of Peyroniesforum.net, one of the most valuable things we ever did was set up a permanent "Women Speak Out" topic. As sexual creatures, we are not isolated and singular. These problems do not affect individuals. More often than not they affect couples. In fact, the male tendency to isolate and withdraw from everyday intimacy in touch and communication destroys many more lives than the physical aspects of ED. Isolating ourselves from a broad range of female perspective and input does a disservice to us men.
Furthermore, anyone that has ever run a volunteer organization knows that women are the engine of change. One only has to look at the disparity between breast cancer organization, advancements, and political clout, and then compare that to prostate cancer to see the proof. Women can be our most powerful allies in informing ourselves, drawing us out to confront the issue, affirming our decisions, and getting the ball rolling rather than just talking about it. MANY more men would find this site and conquer this issue if women were allowed.
Whatever the motivation, fear, or, concern is, you will find it is unfounded and wonder why you did not do this sooner.
Women allowed on FrankTalk?

Women allowed on FrankTalk?
Occasionally, the subject of allowing women to be MEMBERS on FrankTalk.org.
Should women be allowed to join FrandkTalk as (A) members? (B) Members restricted to a single sub forum (i.e. "Voices from the female perspective") (C) barred from posting, but allowed to read and to PM, (D) barred from posting or PMing or other functions like following links or the search function but allowed to read (the current status)?
Occasionally this question comes up in a thread as an off-topic discussion.
I am starting this thread because one such thread in "Implants" is such an example.

Thanks, Hawkman. It appears our minds are in agreement.
I just created a thread in "General Discussion" posing the same question. It might be worth looking at, if not for the discussion, for the links to other threads that include the "female perspective" .

The moderator and I had a long discussion about the prohibition of women members. There are valid arguments for the ban. I still do not agree with it, but defer to the forum owners/creators in their judgement. I do not think the ban foolish, only counter-productive. But, as I hinted above, there are reasons which carry more weight with the site owners than with me. Balancing the valid pros and cons is a matter of degree, over which reasonable (men, for the moment) can disagree (and debate) civilly.

I'm sure there are women who read the posts, they do not need to be members. If they really wanted to, they could create their own account. Just need an email that would mask their gender.

I agree the main reason that we as men want to find better ways to share our sexual experience is because of the woman we love, if the forum is open to gay men and there partners why not have equal rights.

This reveals an excellent point. Women are likely already here so all that is being accomplished is that they are forced to mask their gender which defeats all the benefit of their presence and support.
I wonder if the moderator could kindy combine this topic with the one started by Lost Sheep in "General Discussion" which is a more logical location for these posts.

Re: Lift the female posting ban on FT - Please consider it.
I am surprised to hear there is a ban on women members. I for one would welcome insight from women on several issues. I’ve recently been searching the Internet for feedback from women on how a mans bulge would be perceived. As a new brother still finding the best ways to conceal my new bionic bulge I fear being seen as a creeper and would love to hear if women feel this way.
Out of curiosity what led to the ban? Was there an incident or was this just a preference of the moderator?
I would think allowing female members would help spread understanding around ED that would help everyone.
