Cutting the suspensory ligament

Postby mjohn9 » Wed Aug 08, 2018 4:24 pm

I will soon be having a Titan implant and considering having the suspensory ligament cut at that time.

Have read numerous comments, threads, etc., regarding why you shouldn't have the ligament procedure, including an erection with a possible downward angle, most of the comments seem to be hearsay paraphrasing of others, including surgeons. Can anyone comment about a personal experience with either a satisfactory or unsatisfactory result if the ligament procedure was done at time of implant?

Have you tried just entering the key words Suspensory Ligament in the search box? I just did and there are a number of things that come up.
I am 64 and had ED from a VL. Implanted by Dr. Ronald Anglade in Atlanta on 9/18/17. I have an AMS700LGX 21 cm via a Penoscrotal incision. Very happy with results. 6" soft and 6 3/4” x 5 5/8” hard.

On page 2 of the Implant section there is a post about cutting the Suspensory Ligament. Scroll down and you will see responses from two guys who had it done and seem happy.

Thanks Greg.

Have read those posts, but, overall, feedback with actual results from guys who have had the suspensory ligament cut - pro or con - still seems limited compared to other topics on FT.

I would guess because it is not very common to do it so it is not top of mind to discuss it.
