Hey Guys,
Been lurking around here for a bit, wanted to get some advice.
47 years old, married 25 years. Been using Viagra - Cialis. Cialis only good for night wood Viagra starting to be problematic. Sometimes lose erection on 100mg Viagra during sex. Was tested for low T, came back at 260. Went on Compounded T cream prescribed by uro, only brought up to 400 but raised estrogen to 150. Went to different hormone doc in town and changed T to gel and prescibed estrogen blocker. T level now 700 but estrogen still high at 75. Wife seems to think the issue is hormonal l'm not sold on that.
Uro did offer Trimix, but I'm a little spooked by that. Hitting myself with a needle there has anxiety pretty high. I'm not convinced that trimix is a long term solution but will probably need better option if the pills Peter out which looks more and more likely.
Told the wife I would give it some more time on the hormone route before jumping to injections, she was cool with that. no prostate, diabetes, colesterol issues. HBP high for a long time but under control for the last year.
My question is. Should I give Trimix a "shot" or continue trying to get the hormones back in balance?
Any comments welcome.

I have almost the same medical history as you do except I have had a triple by-pass. I am on testosterone injections every three weeks, it is so good.

To modify a Deep Purple song, "Don't fear the needle!"
It only takes a few times on your own to get over the fear (most of us, I think, have that). Once you get the hang of it, and see how well it works you'll be looking forward to the times you can prick your prick!
Start slowly on the juice and build it up to a working formula, and you won't regret it.

ED worsened over 25 years, likely VL. Went through pills and injections, and results faded over time. Implant AMS 700CX, 21 cm, no RTE, on 6/3/24.
Re: Need Advice
I used tri-mix for 12+ years and loved it............till It stopped working as well last year, so went with the implant. The injections are no big deal most of the time, you just have to take your time. I tried the auto-inject and it was ok with the right syringes, but the ones that I got from Kaiser did not fit, so just did it manually. For me most of the time I got very hard within 10 min. and would last about 2 hours. After I would cum it would go down a little but was still hard enough that if I wanted to go for a second round I could. I hated the side effect from the pills, with the injections there are no side effects unless you hit a vain, which I sometimes did, but they go away in a few days. When I did hit a vain or did not get the results, it was because I got in a hurry, TAKE YOUR TIME!

ED, My history is similar to yours except I got ED later in life.
If 100mg Viagra doesn't work, the next logical step is injections.
I was already self injecting T, so not a big deal with willie.
I recommend self injecting T since the cost is pretty reasonable.

Re: Need Advice
I'm 90 percent there on the switch. I guess I'm still holding out to see if the wife is right on The T but at this point not very optimistic, Just a little shellshocked that the pills worked so well for 7 - 8 years and now all the sudden not so much.. Uro has never ran a test as "the treatment is still the same" guess my mind works a different way, if he ran some tests and said your dick is fried because of x at least I would know why and could just make my game plan.
Nice girthyness there Andy.

Thanks Tomas,
I actually start injecting T this week for that reson, got supplies this week. Has me injecting with a 27g pin 1/2, but wouldn't want to stick that in my unit.
Another concern I have is that's it not going to work, guess theirs one way to find out..

Re: Need Advice
ED, if you fill your own syringes, it'll probably be hard (not impossible) to fill them.
I'm using 25 gauge, 1"ers and find them difficult to fill. It just takes a little time for the stuff to fill the syringe.
The 27 gauge isn't much different than the 29 gauge I inject tri-mix with.

I use 27 gauge x 1 1/2", once every two weeks, in the thigh. Been on it for over 10 yrs.
You're right about the stuff being thick and syrupy when you're trying to fill the syringe. Worth knowing if you haven't heard about it is this tip from the RN who gave me my first T injection:
Before pushing the needle into the vial, pull the plunger as far back as you can. Then insert needle into the vial and push the plunger all the way down. Voila, you have compressed air inside the vial to help you fill the syringe. Cuts the time in half, at least.
Eugene, Oregon, USA. Born 1941. Married 1968. ED since mid-1990s. Began trimix January 2014. Dosage gradually increased over time. Added cock ring in 2016. After dosage reached 30 units, switched to quad mix in May 2018. On blood pressure meds.
Re: Need Advice
I always just put in the same amount of air as what I'm taking out. I'll try putting in enough to create positive pressure next time I fill.
I always fill 4 at-a-time. just makes it easier to remember which side to inject on.
Injecting in my thighs has been giving me an ache for maybe 3 days, so I do the butt area.
